A smaller scaled Assassin's Creed, with a linear story, and no dialogue choices - this is definitely a good idea. Sometimes you can do something so massive too many times and it starts to really overload a franchise. That to go back to something smaller, and more laser focused, can feel like a very welcome breath of fresh air.
I have my own theory as to how Bayek, Kassandra, Eivor and Basim can see through the eyes of their avian companions: to me, it works as a sort of reversal of Arno's Communal Sense (the ability from Unity that let others see what Arno himself saw).
I always thought each individual with the blood of isu in them the 6th sense that their “eagle vision” would be different for each person some similar like Altair Ezio Connor Edward Haytham Desmond all had similar eagle vision as their DNA passed down from generations
i always considered that because dna has decayed though out the centuries, the animus could not completely read the genetic memories. AC 1 to Syndicate has dna directly from people who are alive or recently passed away. Origins have mummies, so the dna is preserved for centuries. Those games have no dialogue choices. However, the two recent entries, Odyssey and Valhalla, have dna that is corrupted/decayed. the spear/Eivor’s Remains were found buried but not preserved. That is why dialogue choices appear in those games. Even the end of Unity said about Germain’s remains would be unreadable. That made sense in-game.
I still find it odd that Basim might kill someone in the order. That would conflict with him being allowed to be officially sent to Norway with Sigurd. Rather, I suspect it might be a chance encounter with Sigurd that led to the death of at least one assassin.
Yeah there are so many ways this could work. Basim could do it in secret, the assassin could be a defector, etc. I agree though, this can’t happen publicly otherwise it would conflict with the events in Valhalla…
What if he does kill a fellow Assassin and Roshan happens to be there but for some story driven reason she takes the blame for the murder(maybe she’s aware of Basim’s troubled dreams/Loki taking over at this point and that’s why he kills a brother) and this is why we see her in Valhalla pretty much stripped of her Assassin Attire and states “she lost her hidden blade a long time ago”. But was really exiled and stripped of her ranks/gear. It could work bc if I’m not wrong Basim and Roshan aren’t necessarily enemies/have bad blood with each other by the events of Valhalla. She just all in all takes the blame.
(The thing they warned spoilers on) I definitely think Roshan does something really bad to Basim. Whether it’s attacking him relating to him being an ISU, killing his friend to ensure his allegiance or maybe even being corrupted by a piece of Eden. It has to be something bad enough to get her kicked out of their brotherhood. But I was surprised it said plural Assassins. Because I’d feel like that’s risk Basim getting a similar fate. So either she gets an artifact to control multiple Assassins or they’re referring to maybe our training options when we’re at Alamut and we’re not actually killing them, or maybe because of his ISU consciousness manifesting that creates enough distrust that Roshan gets a band of Assassibs together against him, or I do think it’d be really good if we did see some rogue Assassins since we’ve had to fight a Rogue Assassin or just a hidden One in almost every single game, and even then a lot of the time we got a similar skillset character like Haytham for example.
In Valhalla basim mentions to eivor that Someone killed his family that he looks up to or says something very similar to that it’s been a while since I played it
@@lonewolfgaming4329 he tells Eivor that in reference to his past life Odin because he said that he had a son once but that they took all he had referring to the situation with Fenrir.

Really hoping this game comes full circle with his story and connects all the dots/answers all my questions about him lol

One thing as well, I'm so curious to see how the game handles the fact that this is the first time someone is using the Animus to access THEIR OWN memories. I think maybe that's what his "ultimate ability" is where he does the teleport thing, it was described as glitching the Animus. But only because he "moves so fast" I really wonder if we will get any interesting lore or something out of the fact that basim is the first to access his own memories.
I wished they just used a Piece of Eden as an explanation as to why these people can see thorough their avian companions. Maybe a kind of ring-like POE that lets them connect to the synapses of animals, easy.
I wish we’d be able to exit the animus as William. I’d love to hear some dialogue from him and see more about how he’s doing now of days but I understand why that won’t be the case.
Isn't there a contradiction of the narrative director regarding Basim's story? I say because in the ubisoft forward she said that Basim's story was located 20 years before Valhalla, and then she says that it is located in the year 861 AD being 12 years before Valhalla, like there is something that does not add up. Unless they have changed the year in which Basim was born, and if it would make sense that Basim in Valhalla is 29 years old, although to me, Basim's appearance in Valhalla does not seem 29 years old but 38 or 40 years old. One other thing, if Basim murders his own fellow assassins, it doesn't make sense for Haytham follow him to England in Valhalla, since he should know what his mentor did in the past. Well I guess you have to wait until the game comes out to find out what changes they made.
If he killed some of his brothers and remained a master assassin it means he did it quietly or indirectly, with the blame going to someone else(roshan)
I don't think Basim betrays the brotherhood as he's seen mentoring Hytham in Valhalla. I feel Roshan is going to try and kill Basim after finding out he's a sage but Basim uses some dirty politics after being consumed by Loki to have Roshan kicked out.
@@AccessAnimus what a waste, there should be question about "it's that true you are changing date transition of Hidden Ones to Assassin's from 1090 to 10th century and Hasan-i Sabbah as founder- because of problem with Aga Khan IV and his foundation?"

I really hope so too, it’s been a long while since these story themes and gameplay elements (despite still being a heavy heritage from Valhalla) have been at the core of an AC game, so if the game if successful we might have more of this in the future! 🤞
@@AccessAnimus the only problem I see with sticking with the old format is that people will complain about them releasing the same game over and over, after all it happened before. Mirage has nothing to do with valhalla, so how is it a "condensed valhalla". Ubisoft themselves have even said u don't have to play valhalla to know what's going on in mirage?? Plus saying there won't be any history about the assassins /hidden ones is a straight up lie as one we get to see the the ritual of sacrificing the ring finger for the hidden blade. Two we get to see the Alumut castle before it was even built aka the castle where the first ac took place. Plus much more as they talk about the feathers in origins and why they adopted it.
@PhoenixxUprise it just seems odd that they're choosing to set these things in stone through an extended DLC for Valhalla. You can say what you want but Mirage is an extension of valhalla. Condensing a full game isn't bad, expanding a DLC into a full game is good business built around little value. These are just my opinions
@jcaaata7338 How is Mirage an extension to Valhalla when the story takes place before it and has nothing to do with valhallas story?? I am just curious is all on why u see it like that.

If anybody has faith this game will be able to convey anything of value to us about the history of the assassins they're sadly going to be mistaken. An entire game (DLC) about an ally turned antagonist turned protagonist. Wasted money on all fronts, production and consumption. Frustrating shite
😂😂😂😂😂
@@Hidden_Creed lol.
