I've never seen someone spray soap into their mouth to check whether it's still soapy 😂 had me laughing out loud
If in doubt, taste test! 😅
You could consider a skirt to Velcro onto the bottom of the tent. Easy fix 😁
That's probably the best option 👍
was thinking the same thing
For our loo I found a very sturdy clear plastic box that you can put your loo roll + the chemicals in and was just the right size to sit the loo on though it looks like you have gone with a composting toilet
I vote for amber lights in spot and flood combo, mate. They don't scatter in rain, fog or snow and don't reflect back off of road signs. The bottom of the awning looks like it has velcro strips? A strip of tarp can be velcro'ed on for more privacy. Congrats on the 90k subs, cheers.
Strongly advise "Dry Mat" for under the mattress, 10mm air gap. From 5 years in an overcab bed in my truck and losing a mattress the first 2 winters but finally got that sorted with airflow from a drymat. Less than €100 on amazon various sizes available.
Great tip, thank you!
Who needs Australia Survivor when you are building your awn adventure. Can't wait for a miraculous moment when you reunite with Stephy and Leigh again, just imagine those two vehicles roaring. A massive ¡¡Pura Vida!!
We'll hopefully catch up with them somewhere in Europe :) thanks a lot for following along, Pura Vida!
Linseed oil brings out a lovely colour on wood 👌
Also, just an idea for the loo / shower tent... You could Velcro (or use magnets) to attach some mesh / mozzy netting onto the bottom of the tent & create more privacy / prevent flies or mozzies entering inside ✌
Love the work you guys are doing 💥🙏
Great work!! The sower tent is awesome and seems to have plenty of space 😊 really liked the hatch! Oakley is such a happy little one, glad you had a day out 🙌💛💛💛
I used Osmo Polyx Oil for the birch ply lining in my camper van. Dries clear without staining the wood, and keeps the natural look and colour.
Thank you for the recommendation! Osmo seems to have great reviews 👍
To raise the toilet you could use a step frame to hook on top of one of the rear wheels instead of a step will work as a platform.
All coming together very nicely. Enjoy your break and see you guys in 2 weeks!!!
Thank you so much Andre! Unfortunately not a proper break but hopefully we can plan a little camping trip once the bed is finished and we have made more progress :)
Go the Baja look for the lights. !!!!!
What a fantastic video…you have another subscriber…
Be sure to check out their Unimog build and adventures, they are just as incredible.
Thanks legend!
Ahh cheers mate, appreciate the support 🍻
For Fans look into 12v Computer fans, there are some really good silent ones, usually way better than camping equipment. Also lots of Hacks on RUclips how people use them in camper builds.
Hot tip! If you are going to cut "plastic" Rub a candle / wax on both sides of the blade before you cut!! IE run the saw!!! Its the heat that melts the "plastic" witch then sticks to the blade and causes binding and chips the "plastic"
It’s coming together guys ❤
I always flip the saw blade backwards when cutting plastic like that. has worked well on all of the green houses I have build.
6-7 yellow (like euro/rally fog light colour) marker lights on the roof would be sick, and maybe some spotties. exciting progress awesome work
We'll do some research in the next few weeks to find the ones we like the most :) Thank you so much for following along Jimmy!
I Highly recommend Diode Dynamics lights. They have a lot of options that would cover what you want to do and they are seriously bright and very high quality. Great build guys!
Amazing to Oakley running around. Such an amazing time for him, to have that freedom to just walk wherever he wants
I love this stage so much, watching him explore his surroundings. I can't wait to be travelling again with him. Thank you for watching and commenting ☺️
I just found your channel, yesterday (about 30 hours ago) and began binge watching this entire build. It has been so interesting. As a US Military veteran, I have thought about finding a Hemtt - PLS with a Containerized Housing Unit (CHU) and customizing it with a latrine and small kitchen area. This would work well, in my mind, due to being able to offload the housing container, for longer stays. Along with the boat project, that I have been researching and planning, we would be set for travel to anywhere in the Continental US ...... which is our end goal. Thank you for the motivation and guidance (whether that is the plan or not 😁 ).
I was thinking exactly the same about extending the bottom of the enclosure 😎👍🏻
It seems like a logical choice! Thanks for watching :)
The grey ones are 50 amps. Also they are not waterproof but they are not bothered by moisture.
Big Brother of the Valp 🔥Fantastic build!
Its looking great 😁👍
Thank you so much Peter, much appreciated!
@@TheOutFit it's a credit to you !
Its looking very impresive.
Thanks for sharing.
Hi Chris and Angie I have been watching you build this truck from the start and I think it's so amazing and it's looking pretty awesome.
Have subscribed to you channel too.
And little Oakley is too cute
Thank you so much mate
Wonderful 👍😊 build. ❤❤❤😊
Thank you so much for watching!
Hey I have liked your videos for years . I checked my subscriber status. you are right no longer subscribed but still get all your videos on my feed. Perhaps you should remind viewers more often. Cheers and best wishes to your family
Cheers for checking! Super weird hey 🤔
Oakley is growing up way too fast, but what a cutie patootie! ❤
I love this stage so much, watching him walk is so much fun 😊
A unique and a smart Overland vehicle 🫵
Greetings from Iceland 🇮🇸
1st week of 3 is done.
Thanks for watching even from Iceland :) What has been your favorite part so far?
@@TheOutFit It must be the Gullfoss waterfalls.
Tomorrow we’re going to the Vestmannaislands and that will probably be an favourite too.
Wago connectors are game changing. Really cool build so far!
Thanks a lot for watching!
Enjoy
nice progres!
Thank you so much for following along!
coming along great. Well done.
Great job guys!!!
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting Troy!
Velcro band in the bottom where the toilett is
Amazing build. A massive truck needs a giant shower cube 😂.
As a migrated Swede it’s so funny to hear the screaming seagulls in the background. Unfortunately it’s so typical south Sweden.
I’m also jealous of the nice garage. I wish to find something similar here in UAE that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Hej!
The seagull thing is so strange! They wake us up every morning but there are no fish and chips stores or ocean nearby... someone forgot to tell them that they are a seabird 😁
@@TheOutFit haha… it’s awful. Some call them “flying rats”

This project represents more than just a means of transportation; it’s a gateway to countless experiences and memories yet to be made. Your efforts in crafting this extraordinary expedition truck are truly inspiring. And I am Floating Village Life.
Looking good. Make sure you get out and enjoy the summer while you can!
Thank you so much! We are not making the most of it sadlt but hopefully we can organise a little camping trip once the bed is finalised :)
Stedi lights for some serious off roading at the front would be a beautiful finish to that beast
Congrats on 90k subs.
Thank you so much Grahame for being part of it!
Really coming together. Great work you guys.
Thank you so much Daniel for the kind words, much appreciated!
Great build. Been rivetted to your channel s8nce the Mog build.
We pronounce it 'boondoo' here in South Africa, don't know if that helps.
Your builds are amazing. Great work and imagination involved.
Wow, Oakley is walking.
He is unstoppable now!
Awesome and outstanding as always
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, much appreciated!
I think it's time for the moustache to go..😂 Oakley is growing so fast 😎
Too fast 🥹
Car Film on acrylic won't stick/glue, expect to have a lot of bubbles in first hard sun, acrylic its flex, i learn that in hard way when put film on polucarbonat
Looking great! I agree with others about the velcro privacy skirt for bundusuite. Enjoy your time off, see you promptly in 2 weeks 😁
The pressure is on ahah Hopefully we will have made some good progress by then! Thanks for watching :)
You've done an awesome job with this. I check in every now and then and to see the transformation is fantastic.
Thank you so much Richard for taking the time to comment, it means a lot!
For your wiring ive seen someone use a trailer plug 9 pin or 12 pin flat.
they have sufficient amperage, can be easily disconnected and then you just use 9 core or 12 core wire.
Running signals, relays, power lights ect can all be done on dedicated wires back to your main distro
Would be nice if the Bundu suite could convert to a tent where you three could sit or cook outdoors, it would also save you from mosquitos and bugs.
We will cook under our awning at the rear :)
90k subs just about 100k im putting out the word 😁👍
Jem og fix means Home and fix 😀 A good and cheap place
We've just bought our countertops there too!
I’m thinking maybe get a skirt made up for the bottom of the ensuite maybe Velcro attachment.
It is the best idea! Thanksnfor watching :)
Great build guys . It will be awesome when finished.
But you both look tired, so steady goes it . Enjoy the little break 😇😇
Thank you so much! Unfortunately our little man is a very bad sleeper so we get very little sleep, it makes things much harder... But we push through! We'll still be working hard the next two weeks but we have a little break planned early September and hopefully a little camping trip in the truck once the bed is all done!
Thanks for watching :)
@@TheOutFit ummmm I know your pain with little ones . But it gets easier. You are doing amazing job bringing Oakley up with you lifestyle. 🥰
Fantastic episode as usual, love the tint tutorial. Oakley would certainly make working and filming a challenge, not wanting to miss out.
For the lights I would be tempted to go half yellow half white.
Enjoy a productive fortnight
Thank you Sean for your long term support! See you in two weeks :)
Such an awesome build - fascinating how much work goes it to it!
Regarding the Toilet height situation. Could you build / purchase a folding frame that hangs on the tyre to create a platform that you put the toilet on? That way you can always be sure the toilet is horizontal even when the ground is very rough or muddy! Nothing worse than trying to "go" when the toilet is wobbling!
All the best Richard (UK)
Hi From Cape Town South Africa.
You can add a plastic liner at the bottom of the Bundo that attract with velcro. It will help with water and dirt splatter. Hope it helps you out. We made our own.
All the bets Christo
Why not ask a tent company to fabricate a skirt to extent the side tent. so the gab to the ground is closed. should be easy
Great build the build is looking well keep up the great video on channel thanks
Gray Anderson plug is 50 red Anderson is meant for solar input also 50a and 6mm twin core is what we use for rooftop solar, and it will handle 30am no problem. Looking great mate.
I vote for a light bar. Below front bumper bar. To spread the light over the road in front of the vehicle.
Im new to the channel. Y'all doing some great work. When cutting acrylic if you change your saw blade to cut backwards you end up getting a cleaner cut, but slower
Great episode, guys. Made sure I was subscribed as I have been watching since you owned the jeep. Good luck Chrissyboy, in hitting 100k subscribers.😊
Thank you so much Julie! IIt put a big smile on our faces hearing that, truly appreciate the long term support 🙏
I never use small fans pushing air in--instead I have one or two silent Expelair fans run through a small inverter, and the windows provide the necessary several inlets. It has the same effect with much less noise. less wiring, and MUCH cheaper.
However, if one reverses the direction of the Expelair fans so that they draw in air through a large truck air filter, and use the windows as outlets instead of inlets, one can pretty much keep the camper more dust free than if one draws in unfiltered air by whatever means.
You definitely need bumper mounted Amber fog lights in addition to the light bar on the roof for high attitude foggy places where visibility is really poor, light bar and spot lights are road illegal in many Countries, so you can’t use them everywhere.
I would aim for smaller 5cm lights and also look to mount lights low, like you see on HGV trucks, so behind the front wheel in the blind spot, under the front wheel arch and behind the back tire - like a rubbish truck does as you are not doing 100kph with a 40t load or 1000w Trophy truck light bars. You need light around your rig to help manuveing or during the night at camp.
I would put two spotlights on the back of the head rack pointing backwards and out to the sides to ease reversing in darkness, to see ditches etc. You might have already thought of that, definitely something I would not want to be without. Also prefer the lightbar type lights instead of the round ones on the top front.
Hey guys I’ve been following you since you had the jeep ❤
That is amazing, thank you so much Jade for the long term support!
Velcro a strip along the bottom
You really should make the wires going to your dimmable light longer so that if you do have to replace one you can pull the connector down from behind the board. It looks to short to be able to replace once installed
Acryllic and lexan likes grinding cuts that melts through the plastic, drilling with a concrete drill is the easiest way if you need to make holes, cutting metal or wood drillbits can crack the plastic when you go through the surface.
try running the blade backwards when cutting acrylic.
A Lazer Linear 42 Elite LED-bar (Lenght/Width:113,2cm) ore a Lazer Linear 48 Elite LED (Lenght/Width:128,2cm) would fit very good under ore in front of that roof bar.
Since the tint was put on first, it seems like the tint is adhered to the vehicle, not the acrylic. Is there going to be a metal band or something around the skylight to fasten the acrylic? Or will the tint stick to the acrylic well enough to hold it on while driving?
Add some pigmented ”bets” (its water soluble) into your water based varnish to combat to much yellowing… some white and a touch of black should help…
raw linseed oil would be a very nice choise
Good to know thank you!
Strands lighting in Berghem Sweden. Beautiful and quite unique amber arrangements that Angie was looking for.
Got the Siberia gear on my Ranger and really good quality 💪
PS: Saffa accent is perfect pal 😂
Amber Ligths, typical france, remeber :happy wife happy life ! allways top to see You 🤩
You could make boards to get out of really sticky pits (the TGB is amazing in terrain, but) that can double as a lower part of the shower tent to reach the ground? Just put on some easy attachable joints in the corners? Make rubberised mounts to keep it from rattling while driving?
Should just have some extra material stitched up for privacy and security from animals! Maybe some durable plastic
Those pervy animals...
Hey guys love the build!
Could just sit the toilet on a platform of some sort? Higher off the ground so just see feet.
Maybe making some extension brackets to lower the suite would save you carrying a fabric extension for the bottom, just a thought. Cheers 4 sharing.
We considered it but if we lower it would prevent the door opening. Cheers for watching!
@@TheOutFit oh that makes sense, you're a smart cookie, Cheers
A light bar with clear whity light would be nice on the front edge of the rood.
That would give you verry good visibility driving on forest roads.
Is there roof for the shower/No.2 tent?
I really think you should copy the classic look of Off Road Dakar race trucks.
Quick google search will show what I mean, but basically no lighting overhead. Instead, 6-8 inch bright white LED round lights just below your windshield. Two sets of 2, just above your numbers / license plate would be perfect.
AND - do a set of amber / yellow fog lights but mounted to the top of your bumper. Those are much better the lower they are.
r ash i love the videos i ham subscribed to you guys and to true blue travellers 🤟
Thank you so much Ashley for subscribing, legend!
good holidays !!! you deserve it !!!
No holidays unfortunately, we'll still be working just not releasing a video next week!
aux beam do some cool light bars and pod lights and have found when cutting acrylic to sandwich it between two boards when cutting
Thats not a shower, thats a bloody awning room
Auxbeam range of lights and switch pack will work with your 24v system
You can get tables that attach to the wheel with a bracket that slides over the tyre, so could you not talk to a fabricator to make something similar as your rear wheel almost lines up with the back of the toilet tent. It would fold up and take up a lot less room than a box.
10:53 lift the Loo or extend the walls another foot or so
Are going with Lithium batteries?
Yes sir
@@TheOutFit sweet
doesnt teste soapy :D cool
If in doubt, taste it
After this build solar it will be great too
We will install 5 solar panels on top of the pop top! Thanks for watching :)
KC Gravity Titan . :D would i choose , looking nice, make sure u have a Switch , to turn them off anytime even with highbeam on , if it snow or fogy u will be blind cause of reflextion :D
Sub! DONE. The button now is White :D Great job sweet truck
Legend!
Are you worried the skylight will be the perfect entry point for thieves ? Doesn’t seem very secure. And I’m glad the mo is gone.
Why would they go through the hassle of going through the roof? The thief would also have to be very skinny 😅
You are going to want the awning on the right side. Fog lights mounted as low as you can.
That's coming next 👍
