I have one of these. Got it used for 1400usd in 2004. I think it was built in 1994. Someone upgraded it with black gate capacitors throughout. I still use it and it’s my prized possession!
@@Pedro-fr8fg Hi, I'm pretty sure is in Class A at 50 watts in to 8 ohms this integrated amplifier was retail for $5,000usd back in the 90's the little brother of the POA-S1 monster mono amps retail for $40k usd. Thanks!👍😆
Three Japanese Class A amp in 90s still attract worldwide collectors: DENON PMA S1, LUXMAN L580, and PIONEER A09. They are perfect partner of "Coaxial Loudspeakers".
Totally agree👍with you these integrated amplifier's are becoming more collectible, maybe one day I'll be able to find a Pioneer A-09 or a Luxman what a beauty's👍👍😆
Hi👋🏼😊, if I'm not mistaking is a 50 watts class A in 8 Ohms and 100w in 4 Ohm's MRSP $5,000usd in the mid 90's. Most audiothusian don't know that the PMA-S1 is inherits the concept of the $40k 250w monster POA-S1 mono amplifiers at affordable price. Thanks for the comment and enjoy the music🎶💿🎵 👍🏼😁👽✌🏼
I have the S10 Mk2, driving a pair of 1980s Dutch design Translator Impact5 four-way floorstanding speakers and a pair of Kef LS50 Meta speakers sitting on top of them. Incredible soundstage. I'm not sure the Mk2 is better than the Mk1, but both are high-end.
