I remember that there's a section from the "Roland & Rattfink" cartoon, *"The Deadwood Thunderball"* that Rattfink tries to stop Roland's train by means of a horse, a gun, and a familiar line, "You stupid horse!" after he goofs up.
Thanks, Trevor, for doing such a great job once again! And of course, for all your hard work finding a copy worthy of sjowing! And thanks, Matt, for requesting this one and all your insightful comments here! So many laugh out loud moments in this cartoon and Trevor's singing s Beatles classic made me laugh, too! Like Friz, you guys rule!
I honestly had no idea Bugs shot Sam in the face in this cartoon! And it is funnier than the reanimated version! I will give the second version credit, however. It was reanimated by the same crew behind the original cartoon, so it's not as noticable as other reanimated cartoons. (Tom and Jerry's Saturday Evening Puss, for example.)
I did, but that's because I found out through a website called The Censored Cartoons page. They have a mostly complete listing of all the Looney Tunes cartoons that have been censored on TV. Currently, the site's dead, but you can find it through web archives.
@@SCMacPeter They did actually not reanimate Bugs or Sam (Thank God). They just animated the can and then zoomed in Sam. They did not redub Bugs' line either. (Once again, thank God.)
Injun Joe was always cut from TV showings Plus you KNOW any cartoon used in these WB or any cartoon studio they used BLANKS!! I always wondered how the sound effects were done for Sam's locomotive
This is a good cartoon, and i hope that gets restored one day,and because next year is bugs bunny's 80 anniversary they could release a dvd with all the bugs bunny cartoons
Warner Bros needs to value their animation enough to not take advantage of the fans. Trevor will tell you being a Warner Bros animation fan ain't cheap!
I'd really love for Warner Bros to just release a complete set of all their classic-era cartoons, from 1930-1969. I'm sure it'd be expensive, but as a lifetime fan I'd jump on it!
We are so overdue for a restored, uncut version of this. So far, it's only DVD release is the edited version in the Looney Looney Looney Bugs Bunny Movie.
Well, it's better than stupid Manx who just hangs there. That's what Pez and Matt have in common with Manx for sure, the fact that they only talk sense when my hand is inside them.

But not on METV when this cartoon premiered yesterday on METV via the new 4K scan print.
This cartoon is getting a 4K Scan later on in the year on a Bugs Bunny 80th Anniversary Collection blu-ray.
Not as good as Hare Trigger, or Bugs Bunny Rides Again, but it's good.

Yeah, I haven't seen this short in ages. And I probably never saw the unedited version, because I've only seen this on TV.
Funny enough, I remember seeing this cartoon uncut on Nickelodeon.
Hold my beer

The internet archive has a pretty good copy of this cartoon.
The only lobby card that I have is the Bugs Bunny Road Runner Movie
I wonder if Matt and *your david* are actually always in the room no matter what, and just only speak when they hear their names.

Amazing cartoon I loved it
METV has been airing a clean copy of the cartoon and uncut. Watched it with the commentary love it :)
