Had the good fortune many years ago to work in Japan where my best mate from school had been living for 20+ years. We hit the small hole in the wall bbq bars a few nights, over many, many beers hands down the best food I've eaten whilst on the cans. Prawns (every bit of them!), chicken & pork was an utter highlight. Thanks for the memories Harry this was a special one! ✌️
Recently found (and subscribed to) your channel and will certainly be STICK ing around, can't wait to give a few of the recipes a go next time I'm camping with the family.
G'day mate, recently found your channel and been binging hard. Luv ya work. Going camping this week in FNQ. Gotta try this recipe, maybe a couple of others too. Got the beers on the ready and, of course, my stick, ha-ha
I really enjoy watching your content, and think you need to be more like the old daily mail with an episode every morning and night 😁 You could also do with sandblasting or “stick” a matte film on your glass sink lid to prevent the wobbly reflection. Keep up the good work Harry! 👍
Looks yummy Harry and that area is always beautiful this time of year, we also have family down that way. Surprised that we did not see Fred chasing a “SICK” in this video! 😊
I worked in Japan for several+ months. The work ethic to visit Yakitori after hours features strong. Tiny little windows; with beer and food shared with colleagues. They are shining experiences of Japan (as well as experiencing Shinjuku for that time period). Brisbane has a Yakatori bar; but didn't have that same feel. In comparison, everything was "different" ... the beer; the food; the environment; the relationships. The Yakatori bars in Japan are locations where a lot of issues where discussed and decisions are worked through and made.
I can't believe it took me so long to find to you. I will most certanly 'STICK' with you. I've arrived via Wild Touring and WA Camping Adventures. I'm loving the WA connections. We're in Australind. Keep the fires burning (obviously only when it's legal 😉). Cheers, Binksy.
Would work well on my Skotti grill. Thanks for letting us know about the book as well. Definitely going to check it out. Using a Stick to cook makes cleanup easier too!
Looks great, is charcoal readily available? A bit to do making charcoal, unless you can gather some in the morning from the fire, it still requires washing if you don’t want a mess. STICK
My wife and daughters just got back from Japan yesterday! Unfortunately I had to STICK around here for work. It was their first overseas trip. My eldest, said her favourite thing was the food. Apparently even the pork buns from the 7 eleven were yummy.
You gotta get over there Brock.....the convenience Stores like 7/11 and Lawsons are incredible, totally different to here in Australia, they don't sell petrol, they are mini-supermarkets that have heaps of ready made lunches and dinners and they are cheap. Where can you buy lunch under $7 these days. Yaki-niku and Yaki-tori are my favourites but then you have teppanyai as well....all delicious
I cook shashliks regularly on the bbq, looks like I may have to up my game, ditch the stainless steel, use a stick, and try it Japanese style. Looks so good !!
Spectacular food in Japan and of course Delica's and old 24v 80 series nearly all of them Stick shift. Not to mention 3Lt Asahi or Sapporo beer cans with a handle n screw top
Aww man...gonna try marinating chicken overnight as mine needs to be used asap...looking forward to cooking these up tmoto night. Cheers gentlemen... PS...need to get some WA sun on those Tazzy stick legs...😂
I freaking love Japanese food as well. I wish my town had a Yakatori restaurant, but we just got a ramen shop a few years back so I'll consider myself lucky. Montana is really behind the times. We do have lot's of trees with lot's of "Sticks" though!
We had 16 days in Japan in October. The Yakitori Restaurants were my favourite. Your portions are probably 4 times the size of what we were served over there. Goes to show you have to stick to Aussie ingredients.
So it is basically American bbq with Asian seasoning and spices.. I love it.. I’m half middle eastern and we do similar kebabs with Middle East spices.. try that next mate!!
HARRY, Great video, it got me rev'd up to go back to Japan. But can you please tell me where we can buy these FIREMATE HIBACHI GRILLS???? I jumped you webpage, but it only takes me to their Instagram page with a PDF style of Brochure, which is fantastic, even showed the the prices, But nowhere would it show where I could buy it from. Would be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction. Thanks, Keep doing what you're doing, loving it.....
KaPow love Japanese food… love camping too… what a great combo! No Fred this trip??? Miss him chasing around in the background with a “stick” in his mouth!
Gordon Ramson from wish is a bit calmer & not jittery like the real Gordon. Maybe the real GR should try more beers while cooking? Would love that hibachi grill but the boss says no room 😢😂 Another recipe for the list, looks great.
F2F in japan with MCM in delica's ❤👌
Keeeeen!
💯 @mightycarmods
It's the collab we didnt know we needed until right now! I really hope you can make this idea "stick"!
It will be the world's best 4 wheel drive and camp cooking channel
Nice to see you back to cooking Harry. Stick with it. Much love from the UK.
Luv the “Stick” as your skewer, another great Ep Harry, cheers 🍻
I’m glad you “stick” at your passion mate. Love your work. Thanks MikeE

That is the go, so simple off the stick yet the flavors are so enticing, that's a definite cook up, cheers.
Thanks Harry. Loved the idea of the eucalypt stick.
Harry you constantly make this look so easy.
Even just picking up a stick to use as a skewer. Simples
I've bee to Australia twice so far. Watching your videos makes me want to go again but stick around for bit longer this time.
Definitely have to stick this one in the cookbook for the next trip!!

That looks amazing. Might need to get one of those grills. STICK.
Stick to it… took my son to Japan for a couple of weeks when he turned 18. Magnificent food everywhere.
Japan is high on my must visits but for now will have to 'stick' with Australian travels. Will add that recipe to my must try list though.
Great use for a "stick". Your food looks goed boettie!
‘Stick’ definitely going to try this recipe 👌

Just did this recipe awesome
Big fan of cooking on a stick camping, another one for the next trip
Harry. I'm curious. Does WA allow for propane fire pits when under fire restrictions?
That looks so good. Mmmmmmm. Hi from Montana
Will try this recipe with a rosemary STICK. we also love Japanese food.
Looks great, is charcoal readily available? A bit to do making charcoal, unless you can gather some in the morning from the fire, it still requires washing if you don’t want a mess.

My wife and daughters just got back from Japan yesterday!
Unfortunately I had to STICK around here for work.

Does a stick go well with beer ?
Nothing better than eating straight from a stick! Looks delicious!
Food from stick to plate, with beer. Gotta be a winner.
I cook shashliks regularly on the bbq, looks like I may have to up my game, ditch the stainless steel, use a stick, and try it Japanese style. Looks so good !!
Spectacular food in Japan and of course Delica's and old 24v 80 series nearly all of them Stick shift.

Stick with it, mate, you'll get there.
Aww man...gonna try marinating chicken overnight as mine needs to be used asap...looking forward to cooking these up tmoto night. Cheers gentlemen...

‘Fire to stick’.. works.

Any food on a stick is a winner to me!

For gods Sake where am i supposed to find that around here ? ...actually my local Woolworths has Japanese Sake and mirron 👍!
Did the STICK change the flavour?

Stuck it under the sink? I think you mean stick it under water 😜😂 Mate, that looks seriously delicious!

No Fred this trip??? Miss him chasing around in the background with a “stick” in his mouth!
He was there, he was just sleeping off camera

So good
Straight from the stick 👌🏻
Would love your book if you stick it to my address 😂
Love your cooking mate! 🎉
Stuck with it..yum
We have to limit how much we carry so I'll stick to our Baby Webber 😁
Not bad Harry. chicken pieces are little too big and also charcoal are too big therefore heat is too strong. Looks nice though! Approved!
Hi, generally I like to watch your content, but here it seems you are fighting something.
cheers
You do well to STICK to a recipe in a camp kitchen. I so often go off script
"No Bowl! Stick Stick" :)
Wow... Great use of a stick... 😅
Your down to earth videos are great, but I stick around for the bad jokes.
"It's about high 20's"
*Laughs in Central Queensland 40's
To be fair it was 39 the day before!
Stick and beer ftw
Gordon Ramson from wish is a bit calmer & not jittery like the real Gordon. Maybe the real GR should try more beers while cooking?
Would love that hibachi grill but the boss says no room 😢😂
Another recipe for the list, looks great.
Have you thought about moving out to the family farm? Seems like a natural place for you and a great place to raise kids.
We can’t leave the city because of my wife’s work. Otherwise we would buy a farm
going to japan in Jan/Feb and cant wait to eat my bodyweight in food.
"Stick" with that recipe Harry
Yakitori is delicious. Stick-y and tasty. Ate japes of it when I was over there
Stick it to them Harry.
