  • In this video, we go over the removal or a bad shackle mount, patching a bad spot in the frame, and replacing the new shackle mount in a 99 Mazda B4000, better know as a Ford Ranger.
I didn't realize the battery died before I tacked it in, and due to time constraints, I couldn't wait for it to charge. If you want to see a video about tacking and welding, please let me know!

ARCTURUS There is a product called POR 15. It’s designed to be applied to rust and bare metal, and provides a pretty tough coating that won’t wear through like Primer. Prep and cure time is a bit laborious, but well worth it.

Brendan Edie there are so many factors to take into consideration with frame repairs. Frame rot in there trucks is incredibly common, so there’s likely more elsewhere. I’m currently replacing the frame on that same truck.

Not as pretty as you'd like? ...I'd say it's super, cuz no one is gonna spend any time looking at it. Good job!
