This concert and this song touched my heart in a way that I had not felt for some time. Seeing her was my first concert since 2019 at the same Venue. Being with everyone and seeing everyone's beautiful faces and smiles was Gold!. I am grateful for the band and everyone else who showed to have an amazing weekend. 💥🌞🎶💕
Aside from the fact that everything Brandi Carlile sings is magical, this is especially poignant given the past year-plus. We belong together. That’s pretty much her mantra, how she lives her life. And I for one am overjoyed that we can be together again for life-affirming concerts like this!
As usual, her choice of song and lyric to cover is endlessly perfect. Being able to be in community this weekend was everything. And she closed out the gathering in utter perfection.
After the past 16 months, this could not be a more appropriate song for the first concert series for the BCB. Plus, she and the Twins just kill any song.
