I thought they both sounded good! I really just came on here to say bless the HBCU marching bands for teaching musicianship, discipline and unity and for giving kids what I’m sure is a life long love of the arts/music.
I simp for Marching Bands when it’s just Drum-line, Tubas, Trombones, and a Sassy Trumpet Sections. I used to be in my highschool marching band but then I was kicked out and transferred to a trade school for graphic design I miss being a Drumline member…
Maven TM I’m not smoking anything. I️ just never understand why they other sections have to battle. In my era only Tubas & Drumline battle. I️ guess #Allinstrumentsmatter
PV caught SU due to the fact this was SU 1st year on their new trombones and sousaphones, the latter of which they just broke in this game. But it's probably gonna be a different story next year when the Jukes make their 2nd ever trip to PV. But I tell you one thing, TxSU in trouble this weekend.
Tubas it's different. It takes time to tune them to perfection. Slide placement and breathing. They came from Fiberbrass that doesn't take as much air as Full Brass Tubas. They have to get adjust to new breathing techniques. SU has been practicing on them, but it can take up to a year. JSU Tubas went through the same thing when they introduced their 20KHD.
PV and SU trombone and Tuba sections sounds amazing!! 😍😍😍

y’all noticed trumpets only know how to scream and trombones and sometimes tubas are the ones playing with feeling ?
I wish they had a view in front of SU.
mister bojangles SU was filmed from the side so the battle would sound even.
ZN91Psi1 It's literally right in front of PVU, they're on the side of SU.
mister bojangles lol I think he's saying Su sounds just as loud from the side as pv w/ the camera right in front of them lol.
mister bojangles EXACTLY , I had To React To This, 🔥🔥 Check it out !?

Brian Hawkins it’s a Neyo song
PV wrong for that , that's GSU old tbone callout
Why don't southerns euphos play fanfares
Derrick Williams they do, I’ve heard them play back at JSU lots of times.
Alex C they should record them
I'm only here for the Tubas. Idk why the other sections even battle the sound doesn't carry as much.

New all brass tubas and they still sound like they on fiberglass...smh!
Lawrence Ware Exactly what I said. They should've broke em in first
Takes like a year to really break them in fully.
Krankup i was saying the same exact thing they should have broken them in but they will be right for next season
Lawrence Ware Nigga please
Lawrence Ware what do fibers sound like in comparison to brass?
Do not battle 14K nor TNT from PV...ass whooping waiting!!!

James Hawkins idk tubas were kinda even
What does knowing how to play have anything to do with having a new horn?
C B so I'm guessing you've never heard of the process of "breaking in" new horns...this was su's first game using these brand new instruments

Didn’t even know they trombones played back...come on TOP..do better

ZymbalistiK Commented on the wrong post My bad. I feel dumb af lol
Quincy Green lol
I hate the "I'm sh!tting" movements. doesnt take all that motion to play.
Larry B that the style now
It’s what your body naturally does when you use your diaphragm.. some people do too much though
SU trumpets > pv entire band
dont lie to yourself like that...
ZymbalistiK trust me we not its the truth and you know the juke be bringing it
Makes no sense whatsoever
Viveca SU fan 4 life not really by su trumpetz aint to be played with
