- Today, my friend Jarrod and I headed to Kentucky's Red River Gorge to fly fish for trout. Although we were searching for the elusive Kentucky Brown Trout, we ended up catching several rainbow trout-- one of them being very large. It was a great day of hiking, fishing, and enjoying what Kentucky has to offer.

Good stuff! We did some backpack stocking down there not to long ago, good to see there’s still some healthy fish in there. Keep it up!
I appreciate it! I’ve always been interested in helping with some of the backpack stocking
Great video! That’s on my list of places to try out.
Thank you! I recommend going, it’s a blast!
Great fishing in the gorge. I live about 15 minutes from the gorge itself. I know that place like the back of my hand. Ive caught several species outta the beautiful red river.
I’m hoping to get down for some smallmouth out of the red this spring, I’ve never actually fished the red river
@@606OnTheFly your in for some good fishing most of anywhere but the red River is better for just fishing for whatever species. The Indian creek side is great for trout tho. In the Red River I've caught 2 very nice 38 in and 40 in muskies. Small mouth are everywhere so you should have some great luck.
Better then the Grayson Lake spillway friday huh?
Was for me, spillways been tough.
@@606OnTheFly Especially when it was that off colored and high.... drove by when you were near the tube
I don’t think I went out Friday. Hard to say who that was. Still muddy though.
What stream are you fishing on?
East Fork Indian
