So many applications for this idea. Making molds and casting using other media. Recreating historical buttons and such. Making resin or clay and painting them metallic colors. Wow. Thank you!

I came across your channel on happy accident! I enjoyed every second of the process in making these exquisite buttons! I an a sewist and have all sorts of buttons from new to vintage but none of them compare to these! They're gorgeous! I wondered, as I was watching, do you enjoy decorating cookies?
The buttons are exquisite! Not sure why the template didn't include holes, though. Seems it would be helpful to put the holes in before putting the buttons in the oven.
The finish is more beautiful if the button holes are drilled later. This is because shrink plastic has a different scale when it is baked. If holes are drilled before baking, the finished product will have oval holes.
