1.SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Before application of the waterproofing materials check if the substrate is dry, even, compact, stable, free of dust and laitance.

CX 20 INSTALLATION AND REPARATION MORTAR
Chamfer all edges at an angle of less than 45 degrees.
Concave fillet inner corners, e.g. with cementitious mortar in the radius of about 4 cm. Allow the concave fillets to dry properly, before further work. Get rid of any substances which decrease adhesion.To remove all loose particles and laitance from the substrate use the grinding machine or steel brush. Remember to clean away dust properly.
2. PREWETTING OF THE SUBSTRATE
It is very important to thoroughly prewet the prepared substrate in the area of application with Ceresit CO 81 or at least water

3.WATERPROOFING SLURRY APPLICATION
Mix powder and liquid component of Ceresit CR 166 and stir until becoming homogeneous and free of lumps.

Wet substrates, recognizable by a visible darkening in colour, must be waterproofed with CR 166 waterproofing slurry. Apply the first layer of CR 166 with a brush. When the first layer of CR 166 is dry/hard enough, you can proceed with application of second layer.
The consistency of the slurry should be adapted to the application method by brush or trowel. Apply second layer of CR 166 with a steel trowel. Smoothen the surface. epending on the water load, right thickness of cementitious slurry has to applied.
4. INSTALLATION OF PROTECTIVE LAYER
In order to protect waterproofing layers against damage you can use for e.g. a fleece, EPDM boards etc.
