  • Caught these heading westbound into the NS New Haven-East Wayne yard on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.
I'm not familiar with "Progress Rail." I'll have to check into it.
    Thank you for watching.

Watching a recent video by “Delay-In-Block Productions,” of February 21, I learned “Progress Rail” is out of Kentucky. Last year CR, for example ordered some SD70ACe for their Heritage units from Progress Rail.

Progress is the division of Caterpillar that manufactures these locomotives. They were built in Muncie, IN and likely painted in Mayfield.
Conrail ceased to exist before any SD70ACe's were built, and they never had a Heritage program.
This information is all available in a few quick Google searches.

Don’t know if they are NS. Just “Progress Rail.” If being tested NS will acquire them?

You can tell they were supposed to be NS by the headlight position.
