In Sky: Light Awaits (The beta version of the game), there was a place called the Aviary, and it looked exactly like this. Seeing this come back into the live version of the game brings a tear to my eye. I can’t wait! ✨

@@FionaW_VFD yeah it is! But its also was the beta-beta before the game ever got live. Now the beta is the beta for sky cotl while there is also live version.
If only the current Aviary looks like this, I, without a doubt, would surely make Aviary Village my new home. This trailer's version is 200% better than the current one.
I mean that's how most trailers turn out in the final release.,,, not what you expect and had high hopes for :(

Dont quote me, but I heard that sometime in the future they might move back the clouds and expand the area, dont know when tho. 🤷🏾♀️
My main problem is the shops, bridges, and trees, like where are they! I wanted the village to feel crowded and well lived in.😭
When the village first came I went out of bounds and the swings and stuff was just floating in the air, so some of the stuff was there a some point, but later they were removed so who knows what will come back 🥺

@@dalejedrickmaligaya911 I came to except that the shops probably won't look like how the used to, building instead of hobbit holes. But the trees, I hope they have a season about planting trees or something so we can get some in the village

Man, the Season of Revival was such a disappointment. We could've had this look with trees, swings, and portals stretched out beyond the clouds.
And instead we got stores that say are in the works but after doing all the missions I bet they'll never open, unnecessary areas to fly up to and walk around, and the whole area just isn't modelled for the game to load into when you boot up the game so it's forced to load from the old one, and then you've got to wait to load into the Aviary.
But, you know what, I could probably give it some praises here and there.
First off, the Aviary Village we got looks alright. The houses and the hills might look like something from Teletubbies, but most of the Village has some sky lore sprinkled on it, so it's fine.
Secondly, the way you can interact with the spirits is pretty funny and cute. They always bring a smile to my face.
And lastly, the music is amazing, my favourite has to be the theme you hear inside the stores.

I think it should be available after the Isle.. the weirdness and solace of a moth's first steps were such a cool part of my experience that I think all new players should experience them too. Maybe enable the crowd mode after some experiences... it is more rich when you see the world enlarging bit by bit

@@danielg.5070 I think the home space will look like what Aviary used to looked like and the whole new place shown in the video could be blocked by a big door that opens once you finish the game once ^^

I think it's because the leavws of the trees are the clouds, in a concept art of sky they call it the rain tree or something, so it's also related to lore stuff

Edit: I was not disappointed! The beautiful scenery and the life in the village let it being one of my favourite places to hang out at. This game is trully a piece of art!

I liked how this Aviary had the clouds weaving through the islands and structures, alongside the increased verticality. It gave a better impression of “town in the sky” than what we got in the end, which feels more like a generic island with a less magical feel.

you guys are so mean. like i get maybe yall have a change of heart, but THIS version was so perfect. everyone who laid eyes on this masterpiece cried because of how perfect and gorgeous it was. now with the Season of Revival, it's great and all, but definitely not what we were told we would be getting. i hope yall plan to make a huge eden crystal smash the Aviary someday so we have to rebuild it to look like THIS trailer version...

Yeah I agree too, I rewatched the trailer today to find out what went wrong with the aviary village we have in the live servers. It doesn't look quite the same, they did us dirty....
They always do this, water down every initial idea that most people would agree that looks better than the final outcome they give us. That is one of the many reasons I genuinely dislike tgc. It doesn't make sense to me.

I love how amazing you guys get progressively with each major thing you do! My suggestion for this: Not everyone can do Festive Tech/Aurora servers with people, because of phones/internet connections and it can be overwhelming, but also, keep regular Home around too. It's a nice and quiet place. Not as overwhelming.

I agree with this, for the sake of my phone and for the fact that the new home looks wonderful, but I also love our current home, which is quiet sometimes. One home to meet with a lot of sky kids and a home that is nice and chill

Tgc surely love their game. Like honestly look back at light awaits and compare it to the current state of the game. The old maps were mysterious and prettier and so is the quality of the game.

I always wanted the tier 2 covers to be the old covers, so it would make sense for a cover that costs 3X more to have such a different look.

Honestly, structuring the current houses, adding bare polygon trees, and getting rid of the cloud walls and making the area an island in the ocean would be a great way to improve aviary, but I have a feeling this is going to be a year-long project still into 2025

Coming back here after season of revival, I’m both happy, but also unhappy with the final result. The first design of the village was so nice and felt so alive, the final result is nothing like this. Maybe it’s a good thing since most players would feel overwhelmed. But the entirety of the world of sky feels empty. It would be nice to have one place that had such a welcoming feeling. Idk maybe I’m being picky.
In Beta there where already swings in the air, a fountain, a flying boat and a table on a top of a pillar...

I love how The Aviary looks in this trailer!! However, looking at the beta version now, there have been big changes to the layout and look of everything. Am I the only one who wishes The Aviary looked like the trailer instead of the current version?

Nope. Especially the area with the realm gates looks so disappointing like me. Like homespace 2.0 just with a bigger Eden portal in the middle instead of on the right. Really hope the area undergoes some big changes before going live. I understand this footage was in development so I was prepared to see some changes but tbh, the beta version hardly looks like what we see in this trailer. Only the tower seems to be the same 😅

its kind of a let down that the current aviary doesnt look like this or anything like this. i feel it was a bit.. rushed or brushed off, its cute yeah and what we have is great and all but its nothing like that big grand town with lots of life like it should have been. maybe they are working up to that and i hope so but even then if they do, it wont look that that because of how they already made it, its completely different and everyone was hoping for what they showed but they never delivered that to the people and honestly it feels like we been scammed in a sense with this new hope of what that place would have looked like. dont get me wrong the aviary is cute and i love the music they have for it but its nothing that i hoped and its very disappointing
A year ago me and some friends plunged into a Sky - topic roleplay project, and we had the idea of similar areas (in our Sky inspired roleplay plot), where skykids gather up as a community or a village or a city. It's amazing to see the dream unexpectedly coming true, thank you TGC so much!

Been wanting the aviary to make a comeback for years now! Even as my 3rd year anniversary of playing this gorgeous game approaches, I still love it as dearly as I did when my little moth first woke up on that stone platform
WOW!!!! it's insanely beautiful!! the sky keeps getting better and better
What could have been a cool idea is instead of having this as a new player default home it could have been an area for exploring after a player completed the Hidden Forest and be used as like a resting spot kind of like a mix of prairie and isle but I love it just the way it is!!!!!

I saw some comments they said they had a dream about an aviary, it turns out I'm not alone😌, I thought I was the only one who had a dream like that, I'm really amazed by this project! I really don't know what it is about the aviary since I'm not a long time player, but I had a dream that the sky home was like in sky light awaits, since then I really don't know what I'm dreaming of and after I search it turns out it's an old version of Sky😮, i really wonder why i can dream like that and i think it is a new home place in the future Sky, I really can't believe if anyone reads the comments it will be a memorable experience.

My goodness this is gonna make me cry. I’ve been watching videos from the old Aviary design forever and loving its look, and now combined with festival tech that already means so much to so many of us?! This is a whole new dimension of beautiful. 😭💛
I always wished sky was an mmo which had massive servers like WoW and stuff, and this is exactly what I imagined! Looks beautiful, super excited. Its gonna be so nice to have a certain area where large amounts of people can hang out. I wish we could see the other players in their actual outfits, but I understand it would be very very laggy 😂😂 i can dream tho
I think and hope we will be able to see more player's full outfits if you play on PC.

PRAYING this doesn't replace the current home and is somewhere in forest or prairie. Also really hope the festival mode is toned down a notch so it isn't so busy and sky sticks to being a calm exploration game
I wish we could have two home spaces- this and also the current one. Aviary looks awesome and fun but i like the current homespace because it's so peaceful and quiet.
Without a doubt, here in this video the aviary is beautiful and incredibly simple, but what I find funny is that in the beta you included something totally different from this video. Besides having nothing similar to this, it is totally empty.
I'm really sad if it continues like this because in the video you show something and in the beta it's nowhere near enough.
Please bring this aviary and don't let us down.
Seriously, who made these decisions? I keep coming back to this video and it’s nothing that’s like in Beta right now. It’s unfortunate it’s coming to Live. Who knows though, maybe over time it’ll be updated? They did say in a blog that this is a “multi-year” plan thing to make this a great hub
Honestly I'll be just quitting sky if the final Result disappoints. I've been hyped about this for soo long and in the end they've completely messed up. I'm done with their mistakes.
