I work in TV News and use the CLx10 everyday on the job and I just started using it on photo shoots. And I’m getting amazing looking images. I also have the Stella Pro Reflex S light and love that too. Here lately I have been doing photo shoots with continuous lighting but I have an AD600 and two AD200’s if I need some flash action lol!
I have 3 of these lights, but haven't had the chance to really try them out. This is encouragement for me to do so. Good to see the lights in motion....Question : would a softbox work as well as the umbrella?
Nikki, simply stunning images in the middle of where one could easily say you can't make a gorgeous portrait right here....but it's the vision and the knowledge you have that allows you to create this dreamy portrait. I'm curious. Did you double down and get a backup? How long are the batteries lasting for you?

Jason Lanier reviewed this light,,,his comments were interesting. We would consider this Stella unit but purchasing from the States means we have no warranty protection. Vistek sells this unit but it’s a special order and there is no Stella supplier in Canada to honour a warranty, which for us considering the price, is necessary. If the wind were to take down our unit we would simply lay down and cry. Rotolight Neo 3 RGB’s are much less, use commonly available LiOn batteries and will flash at all sync speeds; these too are available at special order from Vistek or at a discount with Jason’s partnership at Rotolight. This British company also makes the modifiers for all its products. You would need two Neo 3 RGB’s to match and exceed the Stella, but they are small and very light weight. All our continuous lighting is from Rotolight.

At full power about 45 mins, my shoots are normally that long, so works for me 😘

I always pick my aperture and adjust shutter to suit the scene. This was around 4pm.

I got two Reflex S's instead, I can use flash or continuous light with them! Battery with flash is hours, continuous about 45 mins.

@@marcweisberg7998 that’s just battery life, when I use 100v power in studio it lasts indefinitely.
Nikki, do the Westcott modifiers work on this CLx?
I’m pretty sure just Profoto and Bowen’s.
