Hi Teppo! I see the dates on the page, but not the hours. Can you please clarify as I live in China, and I'd like to check if I could join the live sessions regardless of the time difference? Thanks!
@@TeppoHaapoja Argh!! This time slot definitely won't work... 😂Can you consider offering an early session in the future, like 8-11am Helsinki time? You could reach an Eastern audience (Asia, Australia, NZ...). Maybe you can publish a poll in your next video? You can definitely count me in!
67.7 from brand deals and 61.8 from the rest so its more than half. going deeper on brand deals would probably be a good idea i agree. how you work your way up to that as it seems like this is the most important piece to becoming a creator, struggles you had in the beginning anything
Godd video Teppo. I am using your Lut’s in all my videos, and also LOVE the Creator Autonomy round 2, so I dont regret being one of the incomes this year😂
Good stuff dude! Really appreciate the breakdown of each specific stream of income. Every penny of the money you've made is certainly well deserved. Stoked to be in the next cohort for Creator Autonomy!
It’s really fun to have followed along on this journey since you where «working for Matti» and then went solo doing your own thing :) Looks like I’m reaching 1k subs this year and then a new chapter begins for real, hopefully someone will pay you to swing by Oslo again for a talk, last time was fun and inspiring :)
@ Sure is :) Now I just have to try and get those final 250 subs AND 1800 watchtime hours within time hours within the next 70 days, before april, or else I’m going to loose about 1000 of my watchtime hours from april last year when my Dji Mic 2 and Davinci Resolve Speed Editor videos took off a little bit. Those hours are gone early april this year, so I’ve just released a challenge video a couple of days ago, and I’m working on doing at least one video each week, hopefully 2, for the next 10 weeks (which is approx 75 days) to see if I can raise the watchtime hours enough by being super consistent - it’s gonna be a fun experiment no matter if I do better or worse than the goal I’m aiming for, because I’ll have 10-12 (or more) new videos on the channel for viewers to enjoy - and if that doesn’t work I’m gonna have to consider going «Full Neistat» for a while ;)
Thank you for your openness and honesty. It really helps us tiny Creators, and I think the RUclips ecosystem in general, when we have people like you who share truthfully what the realities of this career are like. this may be one of the few workplaces that men and women can earn equally. Thank you!
I've been following your channel and only watch a few youtube filmmakers and you always hit it out of the park! You always deliver great information, are you reading from a prompter or you have bullet points you memorize... either way it comes natural. Keep going Teppo!
Appreciate the honesty man! My goal this year is to get up to $2000 per month from RUclips. Definitely going to be taking stuff from this to help me get there 🙌
In my opinion your channel is really underrated when it comes to the value it provides to people like us who are trying to follow a path. Always been great to watch this channel. Best wishes 🎉
The amazing part is "how" I even found your page and journey... for me it started about 5-7 years ago watching Casey Neistat, who then introduced me to Peter McKinnon, and then your brother Matti, and then you!! RUclips IS a community for sure, and I keep calling it my University because I just keep learning.... so Thank you Teppo!!! And thank you for the inspiration to keep trying new ways in my life... hope the home build is going well... Regards, Mark
Oh wow, I love your transparency! May I ask, what kind of job did you have before you became a full time creator? Wishing you all the best for the future!
I like seeing channels succeed. I think success is very rare so when someone is doing well I can't help but to be happy for them. I'm happy when I upload, but RUclips is not as they hate it ...when I upload. Can't please everyone..so the saying goes.
@@TeppoHaapoja I would rather be happy for others.....the alternative would be to always be sad. There is already too much sadness going around...I'm sticking to happy as much as I can. Have a fantastic weekend!
@@TeppoHaapoja i am unsure how it works but i think the handling is via an organisation like Tspring or shop where they print your shirts and do shipping, handling and returns. but digital downloads make more sense. your video did help me with ideas for my other channel.
Teppo is a very well-connected creator with friends in high places within the youtube world, and he's been at this for years. I would consider his story a cautionary tale for any would-be youtubers out there. Your journey is going to be a lot longer, and your income a lot lower than him. Do it because you enjoy the process, not because you want to earn an income from your channel.
Haha i would say everyone has a very different journey. Some people grow way faster than me, and others slower. Its just about following your own path.
Some companies have affiliate programs that you just sign up for yourself like Amazon, but other companies you have to reach out and ask if they have affiliate plan.
As an entrepreneur (not content creator) in Sweden I guess this is ex VAT and before tax? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you have a similar tax system in Finland as we have I Sweden.
@@TeppoHaapoja I understand. You make approximately the same numbers as I do as a consultant in media industry helping broadcasters (you know, traditional TV ;-) ) with their tech, from small fixes to large systems. Have you got any ide of the number of working hours you put in?
