OMG This takes Me back to sitting with My Grandma and Grandpa watching Roy Rodgers and Dale Evans Reruns on TV. Thank you Ray Stevens for sharing this.
It brings back memories of me watching the show when it was new. When I was a kid, we lived out in the country.
Every Saturday, we would go to town, to the grocery store, or the feed store.
Then we would go to the picture show.Not the movies, it was the picture show.
On Saturday, there would always be a double feature, with a short subject, a cartoon, a news real, a seriel episode and previews for the next week. One of the feature films was almost always a western.
The other would be a comedy, a mystery, a love story, or maybe a war picture. But there was almost always a western. Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Lash Larue, The Cisco Kid, Rocky Kane, Tex Ritter, or Rex Allen.

Dale Evans real name was Frances Otavia Smith.
WOW and yes I did not know Dale Evans real name. Fanny Butts is a funny name. My friend , colleague and at one time my doctor was Dr Butts.
Her real name was Frances Octavia Smith. She got the name Dale Evans while working on radio. I have a female cousin who got named Dale after her.
