I feel bad as a star wars fan. We hated on the prequels and pushed George away, when he had the right idea the whole time. We love you George
Meh...I'll admit that I didn't hate the prequels when they came out, though I started to dislike them as time went on. I still don't hate them, actually. I think Revenge of the Sith is as good as Return of the Jedi. But, I think most people who are now saying the prequels weren't that bad are really only doing so because the Disney travesty was so bad. Just because there are worse Star Wars movies now doesn't mean the prequels are any better than they were. The prequels do have the advantage of having been planned in their entirety before shooting began...at least the major beats, even if some of the specifics changed, at least. And, really, the overall story in the prequels was a good one, even if the execution fell flat. Disney's garbage doesn't even know what story it's trying to tell.
@@frocat5163 I think the new movies definitely give us all a greater appreciation of the prequels. You couldn't have said it any better, the prequels have one of the best stories ever if you ask me but the execution was bad. Disney on the other hand, they must've hired 7 year olds to read over the script, it couldn't be more jumbled and basic.

@@servadac42 They're referring to an interview George did at Tribeca a few years ago where he claimed he would only make experimental films post-Star Wars. Everyone was intrigued. There were rumblings that he's made a few and just hasn't showed them to anybody, but we haven't heard anything since, and it seems more and more unlikely that we ever will.

George should have hinted early on that Jar Jar was a sith. It would have kept the prequels much more interesting. I thought the prequel series was always good, but Binx stood out.
Nothing could bring me back to those abominations.
I would watch anything Lucas was involved with, even if it's a Sith navigating the uncharted waters of a Jedi's pee-hole.

Dialog was terrible but most effects were practical just had digital effects on top. For 1999 CGI was ground breaking! I love Naboo waterfall scene it's just salt and crowd at pod race is just colored matches with some real people copied multiple times

I was wondering the same thing but it doesn't seem to be about the video itself, but rather some behind the scenes political crap. Something about MovieTalk being cancelled and Collider staff being let go...which they've somehow attributed to these deepfakes and Josh Robert Thompson (the impressionist), as if there were any correlation of cause-and-effect.
