The Storm Is Passing Over ( Rev. Timothy Flemming)

  • Here is the young twenty-one year old Timothy Flemming Sr. masterpiece, that has never been recorded or released. This is a selection that was done in a small wooden church in a rural community where he pastored. You can hear then how powerful his voice was as he would pace the floor singing with no need of a microphone, with a down home piano and congregation.
This is actually the very first recording of Rev. Flemming and we are proud to share it with you. Mt Carmel Baptist Church is also posting this song because we get so many requests for it from his Old Time Camp Meeting Songs Volume 1, where he performs this song through his present congregation. But this is the first time that this version has ever been heard or released. We know you will like to hear him at such a young age.

Mama taught me about the Bible ,but i lived life my way, down a dark and lonely hwy,Jesus met me on my way,now I sit and read my Bible,i kneel down and pray,I still need that old o time revival in that old o, o fashion way, down at the river, muddy water washed my SINS AWAY.

This is old school church Devotion. We need more of this in church services today. This is one of my grandma’s favorite hymns.

you know songs of this nature are birthed out heartache and pain, also stress. If we were to sing songs to this nature in our services today in the black church then we would be better off. As a people
