hard to believe this is slower than a Touareg hybrid
10 years ago a naturally-aspirated 4.8 litre SUV that ran the quarter in 14.3 would have been pretty amazing.
seems like Edmunds need a new test driver. been watching their videos...most of the cars they tested have a slower 0-60 times and 1/4 times than MT and C&D tests.

You need the carbon brake package for the ‘5.4’ 0-60mph time. Also taking out the spare tire and the user’s manual helps shed mega weight.

for that fly buy during the acceleration run at 0:38....do u guys think that high pitch whining sound was a sound a effect they used or the an actual sound the engine makes.

I know what u mean, i heard it - its actually not a sound effect, though it sounds like one. Not quite sure what makes it though (wind noise as it accelerates, pushing through air? Or turbos spooling up? Tire sounds? I just don't know, lol).
why didnt you use launch control ? i think with lc porsche numbers are correct

have you ever driven the new escalade? i owned one stock 403 hp 6.2 L v8 does 0-60 in 6.5 seconds, no i will never take it to a track, but meet me at any redlight and lets have fun
With that sound, this thing could do a 20sec 1/4mile and I would still be happy :)

Gtr modified the secondarys to Snap hard it used to rev out to well it had GTS dash it would max out on the red line but keep Pulling! Tru fit Exhausts did the System and it sounded!

I always had that question, the answer is, sadly, most mayor magazines are biassed or "Pointed" towards certain directions by the auto makers or accesories manufacturers who pay for everything. At least with these guys you see the actual test, you don`t take the word from some reviewer only. Maybe if you take the car on a prime day, with cool and dry air, perfect grip and a pro driver you'll get the times shown in these mags, but on a daily basis, tis what happens..

no no no. it definitely out handles mine. not even close. but in a straight line i would blow its doors off. i run high 13's low 14's all day long in Texas heat with just headers, intake and a tune. 24 inch wheels and tires to boot. mine weighs over 5200 lbs.

Maybe Porsche was manly referring to the german spec,GTS, with out all of the emission junk on it, ether way is not that much off.
When I saw the original cayenne and s, I loved it. However the Gts doesn't blend in terms of looks to me. It looks disordered.

Significantly slower than Cherokee SRT-8 !! While a fully loaded Jeep SRT-8 doesn't have the fit and finish of the Porsche it is MUCH cheaper at almost half the price...

An Escalade needs twin turbos just to haul it's fat greedy arse to the petrol pump. If you can get an Escalade to beat this thing in any way shape or form; let me know so that I can go wait at the beach to watch you part the waters like moses.

they are slow and gas guzzler! had a cayenne back on 2010. the worst vehicle i have ever own. new brakes after the first year /10,000 miles. took it back for warranty after they were making noise, shop advisor, comments. truck needs breaks and they can be yours for 1,500 dlls sorry but warranty does not covers normal wear. costumer response tnx but no tnx. trade it in for a bmw 535 everything included for 4 years. chao!
