Thank you for the video. I just installed a Navitas controller on my electric Club Car Precedent and have to replace my solenoid with a heavy duty one. This video explains everything! Thanks again.
Use extreme caution, when you are hooking up the trigger wires. if you have a Navitas controller. They are polarity sensitive. Blue negative yellow positive. For easy go TXT.
So for activation circuit wires, I have a blue and a yellow wire, and no diode. I also have an additional red wire that is attached to the post with the battery cable. How do I convert this setup to the new solenoid?
The diode is strictly a safety protecting the controller. The cart will run without it. However, if you install a new controller you better have one on there if you have to file warranty or they will not cover it!! Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
www.golfcartking.com/3-amp-solenoid-diode-for-400-amp-solenoids/ This is the diode that I use on all 48 volt systems! Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!!
I have no voltage to the ignition switch after an mistake in wiring on my 2013 club car precedent and no click from solenoid the resistor be the problem if not could you let me know where to start looking thanks
@DIY Golf Cart are 2001 ezgo txt pds runs great but when it gets hot after parking it for a minute the golf cart won't move anymore and the solenoid won't click
Newly installed solenoid makes 1 click sound only when i take foot off the accelerator completely. -Doesn’t make a noise when pressing the accelerator, only when letting off it. Is this normal?
My cart runs fine most of the time however on occasion I step on the gas and nothing happens. Eventually it will take off . Any ideas what might be wrong ?
Listen for the solenoid click. If it doesn't click it might not getting voltage to engage or it is getting the voltage and not engaging. That's where I would start. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe.
I have a 1976 Harley Davidson Electric Golf Cart that needs the Solenoids replaced, at least it is clicking like it is anyway. Any tips you could give?

not one video i can find on nobody changing to a sw202 heavy duty system then you done with golf cart trouble free.Just surprised nobody made a insulation video of this 100 dollar system
I have a Bad Boy Buggy with two Motors one up front 1 in back 48 volt would I have to upgrade to the heavy-duty on both one of them are small and one of them is big just wondering
Putting the diode in backwards will cause the car not to run. I seriously just got off the phone with a gentleman the the solenoid would click but, no go. I told him to remove the diode and the car runs! Diode was on backwards! Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!!
Thanks, Finally someone with common sense on change over, thanks thanks
The two large cables are positive?

I have a 72 volt system with an alltrax controller I am trying to get hooked up, so do I hook up 72 volts to the small wires as well?
So for activation circuit wires, I have a blue and a yellow wire, and no diode. I also have an additional red wire that is attached to the post with the battery cable. How do I convert this setup to the new solenoid?
I have blue, yellow, red and black wires as well. What did you end up doing?
Would this work without the diode?
Or temporary a wire bridging the 2 terminal?
Cheers Billy

Thank you for the video . What is the value of diode and resistance?

The car could have blow a fuse or melted a connection in the harness. Not going to be fun chasing that one down!!

Does a solenoid on a starter /Gen. stay constantly engaged while motor is running?
Yes it does, it supplies power to the starter/generator for it to stay engaged. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe.

What is the make and model of the upgraded solenoid? Im trying to buy one

Solenoid change for exp txt 2012 do you have a video.and I am sub for 2 years lol .😎
Hi king! ...i am from indonesian
Good
Why use a heavy duty solenoid
not one video i can find on nobody changing to a sw202 heavy duty system then you done with golf cart trouble free.Just surprised nobody made a insulation video of this 100 dollar system
this doesn't help me install my solenoid at all
what are you confused about?

what happens if you get the diode backwards ? would that stop power from getting to the motor?
