Flipsky and spintend make awesome vescs or controllers as they're called in bikes, I came from electric skateboards that did 60mph then am now getting into e bikes. I had thought there was som reason they had such big controllers but apparently not lmfao. Spintend ,ales a vesc (programmable electric speed controller) that takes 80 amps, has forward, reverse/Regen brake, 12v plug for lights and horns and more, is already in a heat dissipation case, a built in anti spark, and also is made for 2 motors not one,, that also takes 100 amps per side! All that and has built in Bluetooth to program it w your phone and is also less than half it's size and a great price for the buy
we meanwhile could test it, but we have serious problems with it... In BLDC mode it is almost impossible to run large inrunners.. in FOC mode it is possible up to about 40A but very unstable and motors tend to blcok completely ->looks like there are real issues on the design of this new baby...or did they use bad quality hardware?
The nice thing about ESC you have full total control power outputs. I'm diy electric skateboard builds several monster board. I'm currently building my electric scooter using Ubox esc 1000x way... Do you have any issues with bogging low rpm torque on the Flipsky 7550? I just installed x2 7550 for my dual motor scooter and the low end RPM torque sucks compared to the original YYK controllers. Thoughts?
Its because the phase amps are lower than your yyks, typically yyks run a 2-3 times ratio of amps sent to the motor vs battery amps, vescs havent been designed around this yet. Nice thing is new 75100s came out but they max out at 120 phase amps which ends up being the low end torque of a 60 amp or so controller.
Only numbers... make one vehicle with this controller and one to be simple. Then you can compare two of them(speed, power, continuous travel amp consumption, the range) and the most important thing the price and then we will talk more about that vesc!
