He's the most under appreciated player of his era. He belongs in the HOF. He's been very good for 16 years on both ends of the court. Absolute glue guy. Even at the age of 36, he is the best big man on the Celtics, who have been one of the best 3 or 4 teams in the league these past 2 years. He is a big part of why. Take him off the court, and these Celtics would not even be a contender. He is that important to them, especially on defense. When he plays poorly, they lose. Like tonight....

Al Horford is a professional basketball player who currently plays as a power forward and center for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on June 3, 1986, in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and played college basketball at the University of Florida, where he won two national championships in 2006 and 2007.
Horford was selected as the third overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks, where he spent the majority of his career before joining the Boston Celtics in 2016. He has been named an NBA All-Star five times and has also been recognized for his strong defensive abilities, earning NBA All-Defensive Second Team honors in 2011 and 2013.
Aside from his basketball career, Horford is known for his philanthropic efforts, including his work with the Dominican Republic national basketball team and his support of various education initiatives.

Watching this final Boston Championship game vs Dallas. Horford deserve to get in the Hall. Based on his college career and 5 time All Star with the Hawks. Solid years with Boston and now a Championship yes he should be in.

A case can be made but I don’t see it… now IF he adds a title to his resume, then probably, maybe. And let’s not compare Horford to someone like Bobby Jones… Bobby was 2nd team NCAA AP All-America, had two great ABA years, immediate impact in the NBA too, if DPOY was given out back then he would’ve gotten one, I think he made the Playoffs every year of his career, one of the GOAT defensive players, like 4x All-Star, won 6th Man of the Year, was an important piece on a championship team (and one of the best teams ever)! Al has him beat on longevity but I think at their peak, Bobby was a more impactful player, and yeah, he’s more accomplished. Ofc that a title will boost your chances, like for KC Jones for example (winning a bunch of them with the Celtics dynasty)… it is what it is. But look at someone like Tom Chambers… 20000 career points, was All-NBA 2nd at his best, just great during those years even won ASG MVP at some point, so on… and he’s not in the HoF! You got someone like Michael Cooper that didn’t make it yet… FIVE times NBA Champion, as an important piece, DPOY, one of the best defensive players ever, one of the best 6th men ever! I mean…
I don’t know about Iso Joe but I think LaMarcus has to make it at some point, yeah!… 20000 career points, 7x All-Star, 5x All-NBA…
Some players also make it due to peak talent shown or even adding potential to that (helped a lot when it comes to Ralph Sampson for example)… You can even talk about impact and influence on the game, and iconic status…..

If you have to ask or make a case whether a guy is a Hall of Famer, they’re not a Hall of Famer. Al Horford has had a good career and is a really good player for any and every team he’s been on, but no. But then again Dan Patrick would like to see Robert Horry in the Hall of Fame 😒

All he can do now offensively is shoot 3's and his percentages on that is low. He used to have a little post game but abandoned that and now he's some 3 point sniper now lol🤣
