Thanks for the great video Mark!
Hi I’m Yusuke from Karate Dojo waKu.
The point you mentioned at 2:00 about getting the opponents knee bent and hips closer to the ground was exactly what I needed. I will be using that in my nage exercise for karate :)

These are great. Im not much of a grappler but I do like to know some basic takedowns. These are really nice and fit the bill!

OSU 🙏 enjoy the integration of silat . I believe that todays most effective martial arts are a blend of various no bullshit styles.
Evolve and grow with the mastery.
    Thank you ✊🏼

Like the practical techniques! Don't understand the difference between takedowns and throws?

    • @mcanastacio

Depends on who’s answering. But I like to say that throws require more leverage and physically picking someone up. Takedowns are like sweeps, where it focuses more on dragging someone to a lower point, which eventually is the ground. Hope that made sense!

@@mcanastacio Thanks for replying! To me it's all the same. You're using your hip as a fulcrum pivot point or you're using your foot as a fulcrum pivot point.
It's all about rotating the opponent downward around a fixed pivot point!!!

I dont know the filipin name (if someone knows please write here) but in the silat it's called as "puter kepala" which means head rotating
