He tried to do a quick pass from his 2 bar to his 3 bar, but was unable to catch it.

Zeke should wear a Rogaine shirt when playing this guy.

In my opinion, that wasn't a jar. Zeke dropped the ball WAY after the 'bump.' Also, that 'bump' wasn't strong enough to pull the ball off the wall. Frankly, jarring is for the lighter Euro tables, you have to be a big guy to really jar the ball off a pass on Tornado. Also, there are(usually European) bar players that illegally have heavy jars as part of their game. The rule is for them, not really for US Tornado tournaments. I feel jars shouldn't be called unless it's mutual. Most players are pretty honest about it. If there's a BIG problem, restart on the 5. I feel it's unjust for players in the heat of the moment to single handedly call jars. It's an arbitrary call and requires an unbiased opinion.

To be clear, there are 2 jar calls. The one at 16:51 is not a jar. The second one at 22:28 could be called a jar because Mike slams BOTH bars. The slamming of the 5 could have been considered a jar that knocked the ball off of Zekes 5. In my opinion, back spin on the ball took it off of Zekes 5 not the jar. So even though it could technically be called a jar, I don't think the 'jar' took the ball off of Zekes 5, it was the spin. True jar artists jar right when the ball is going to touch the foot of the opponent. True jars on Tornado require both rods to slam (which is why the second one COULD be considered a jar.) If Zeke had caught the second pass, would he have called jar? Probably not, because it wasn't a jar. Which is my point, players tend to call jars when its convenient. I've never been called on a jar, but I don't like the jar rule. It's way too arbitrary to be fairly called by players.

@@partycat2921 way off. The table moved and possession was lost. We call it a jar and continue playing. We don't try justifying it. If you don't want to be called on a jar, don't move the table when the ball is being caught by your opponent, who is subject to the same rule when the ball is under YOUR rod.
