Hi Kuralimba, thanks for taking the time to comment! It’s a pipe fish. They are quite common at that site and not to be confused with trumpet fish which I have also seen there👍🏻

@@TheCavecrawler I also saw them at the same place under the mountain. They swim relatively deep, and where there is sand. I also met them on the beaches in Afantou. I didn't expect them to be quite large. At first I thought they were Barracudas because of their size. I tried to stay away from them, as I didn't know what to expect from them. In general, I like Rhodes, it was very interesting experience.

This is a fire worm…don’t touch as they do sting! Hence the name 😊

Hiya, I used the GoPro hero 5 in a dive housing for this video. Have since upgraded to the 10. We stay at the Atlantica Imperial and can thoroughly recommend it. To the left of the beach there are rocks you can explore that hold plenty of life ( sea bream, wrasse, pipe fish etc). As you round the headland and turn towards the harbour the water is deeper and I did see moray eels in this area. Beyond this the water gets shallower as you get nearer the harbour with a bolder strewn floor where crabs hide. Beware of fishermen. To the right of the rocks as you head out into the bay you can find large limestone slabs. Worth exploring as these can be home to different fish such as damsel fish and wrasse. I also found a huge variegated triton there this summer. The bay is very well protected so perfect for snorkelling 🤿 Enjoy your trip and thanks for taking the time to comment 😊
