  • Here's a little sequence done with Roland JD-Xi. I'm using analog PWM-wave and TR-909 Kit1 in the Drums Part. Sequencing is done with Step Rec (which I never use) and it does a great job with this classic track.

    the fact that this song was written in 1972 with a single instrument just proves how advanced pink floyd were for their time

    Absolutely amazing. I’m astounded you’ve achieved this with a $600 synth. Imagine what Rick Wright’s kit must’ve cost in the 70’s!!!

      On the Run was preformed by either Dave or Roger, neither can remember who was on the final recording. It was played on an Sythi AKS. they cost around $3000 back then.

    This was the fuckest of all songs I couldn’t wrap my head around. The warbled riff that seemed to go through different phasing (apologies if I’m using the wrong terminology).
    I alway wondered how refined you’d have to be to make it sound as creative and intriguing as it did.

    I'm torn between this and the Behringer Deepmind 6. They're both around the same price. I think the Roland is probably better as a scratchpad but the Behringer has some sick patches available post purchase & has full size keys & very analog.

    • @Spacemartini
      @Spacemartini  2 года назад

      The concept between those two is so different it really comes down to what you'd really need. For me the electric drum sounds have been a huge factor in JD-Xi. They sound so good and crisp in the mix. The analog waves sound good too but they only have one oscillator so you cannot get that fat sound from the analog part.
