Qualifying is over in Miami and Max Verstappen is on pole position for the Miami Grand Prix with the two Ferraris right behind as Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz took the fight to Red Bull, Sergio Perez will be lining up in 4th place behind the two Ferrari's. We will be taking a look at the data as qualifying was interesting and threw up some surprises due to circuit conditions constantly evolving. Mclaren looked better on the soft tyres as Lando Norris has put himself in a position to be able to fight for a podium and Oscar Piastri will be waiting to swoop in too.
Mercedes looked a little bit better but they are still lacking performance as Lewis Hamilton and George Russell was a long way away from the cars ahead. Aston Martin are definitely struggling as Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll both failed to make Q3. For VCARB also it was not a strong day for Daniel Ricciardo as he went out in Q1 after an impressive showing in sprint qualifying. What else happened well in this video we will be talking about it.

Hi, good work and nice informative analytic video. Suggest you go all encompassing and include the 10 teams and not confine your views always for the top 5 teams. For variety sake at least. Thanks 👍🏼
Seems no one is totally at ease with the track surface. I figured there would be drivers out of position and carnage for the sprint, but seeing those times on mediums from Norris was eye-catching. Haven’t seen data from the hard tires, but no doubt we’ll see them today ..

Fernando just held back so he could be away from Crash Stroll and let Crash take out others in front of him and take advantage of it!
Leclerc is confident that he can beat max in race, when asked in media his facial expression showed that he might be able to take fight as in sprint he was only 3s behind.

As a McLaren fan, I'm really disappointed because it looked like the upgrades gave them a clear step forward. However this is a very strange (rubbish) track so I'll not judge till imola.
Exactly, Miami is a bit of a weird one especially based on so far
Perhaps it would be interesting to graph how much (or how little or at all) a circuit improves over time with a chart where the horizontal axis shows the time in the session (for qualiftying just stick them all together (18+15+12=45 minutes in total plus the little bit of time after 0:00 and everyone on a flying lap is still somehow allowed to put a lap in the books) and on the vertical axis all the lap times of all the drivers.

Its interesting to see how drivers perform in the sprint format vs the standard format. For example Danny Ric had an incredible P4 in the sprint quali and race but really struggled in the main race.
It was nice to see Alex gain some confidence in the main qualifying and do his usual getting into Q2. I dont think Williams is really a Q3 car yet. I hope he does alright today and maybe scores a point 🤞
It's too far off for a Q3 car sadly. Points would require chaos I feel but that is where Williams are. Yeah it's weird how Ricciardo fell off for main qualifying after a strong showing in sprint 👀
@@MrPulseF1 thats ok. Every race weekend, I only say Alex is doing his best and that is all I can ask for. I never want to have too high expectations for Williams and always here to support them ans Alex ❤️
Dan was ok with his first set of tyres but not his 2nd, Yuki and Lando had similar issues in sprint quali, probably something with the track temps changing a lot and seemed to affect the soft tyres more.
Excellent analysis as ever, and I very much appreciate your videos. Just a teeny grammar niggle if you don't mind. You always say "top 5 teams, which is..." . It should always be "..which ARE" when you're talking about more than one. :)

seems VCARB should be a top 5 car this weekend in place of Aston Martin despite the inconsistent qualifying
Merc were using old soft but McLaren were using new, if i remember it wright.

Yeah it's getting to that point where he is dropping back again.
Stroll was strong again starting to crush.a few spirits , this driver swap will be interesting not sure how lando will fair but lance will make a go of it always does ,
