Really, really looking forward to the Riven video, man, and I can’t wait to see you experience Myst IV for the first time! IV is tied with Riven as my favorite games in the series. Can’t wait to see what you do next!

Hears Riven: meh, I've heard the logic there but it'll be interesting to see it all laid out.

Wow, really excited by the prospect of you playing Myst IV. It's my long-time favourite, with some of the puzzles, while hard, being immensely satisfying to solve. And the worlds are so full of life and charm, as well having a great mechanic for sharing more character detail and acting.
Also I imagine a lot of the difficulty with a Riven let's play would result from the sheer non-linearity of the game. Trying to show off all the game has to offer, all the endings and encounters, would be a very difficult task to pull of naturally. You'd need a hell of a flowchart.
As for the later games, I'd say Uru (in any incarnation) should probably be tried before Myst V, since the latter game is basically just repurposed Uru content, lightly tied together to act as a whole-series finale.
Oh, I'm not acting during a live stream if that's what you meant. It'll just be a hangout with chat, especially since I don't know what happens in the game.
So you're right about what Riven would entail. I wouldn't necessarily shy away from it though.
I thought I had heard somebody say Uru should be played before Myst V, so I'll keep that in mind.
@@shadyparadox Oh no, I got that about Myst IV. It'll be cool seeing someone new to the game trying to solve some of the puzzles, since I myself cheated with the in-game guide on most of the harder ones lol.
Since you haven't played Myst IV yet, I'll avoid spoilers. I will only say it's my favorite game in the series when it comes to the music. It's just so well-written.
I urge everyone else to keep their comments spoiler-free. I'm sure shady would appreciate that.
Myst 4 was okay. Some of the puzzles just suck though, but then again, a couple of the puzzles on Obduction were a hassle too.

Thanks for the video announcement Shady, as it does help to prepare for these events. Interested to hear more about the Riven situation. Although i would like to see your take/series on Riven, i'll be fine whatever his your decision about that.
The Myst 4 stream is going to be entertaining, and good luck for that game. I had to use a few hints to complete the game, especially one puzzle that i over-complicated. I had fun with the game and liked the story. Hope that you will enjoy it, and that the RUclips stream works.

I definitely can't do that while trying to solve Myst 4, I've heard some of the puzzles are hard.
I complete riven twice... First time with family and 2nd on my own stream. It's a good game.
