I visited Mesilla a few times when I lived in Arizona. Great history in the entire area. Billy the kid spent some jail time there
There's also the Civil War period which was quite interesting. I passed through Mesilla looking for CW sites. Are there any? I couldn't find them, but didn't have any type of guide or map.
