Hey ya'll, you deserve to know that the Steam reviews for this game are coming back pretty rough with a lot of mentions about performance issues in particular. I did not have any these issues when playing personally, nothing more than what's visible in this video at the least. I stick by my opinion on it as it represents my experience thus far playing. Of course, I couldn't predict that other people would have issues that I did not. I am not here to sweep the problems under the rug or say that they don't exist, the devs need to hear your feedback.
The game is amazing, lots of potential it just need to be fully fleshed out. Once you master combat the game is a blast but the downside is it takes about 4 hours for it to "click" and players just don't have any patience anymore.
Steam reviews have fallen to "Mostly Negative" with the general consensus being that the game is simply undercooked... sure you're not the only RUclipsr to give it a glowing review or seal of approval despite this but in general i would suggest against using words like "Perfect" in a paid Ad, if for no other reason than to save yourself from people writing you off as a shill.
Yeah, this a tough nut to crack. Problem is, his experience might have been "perfect" and it is his experience that we come here for. He is just a single source of information or resource in your available information about the game. You used other resources to derive a different conclusion. We should never rely solely on recommendations, even if they are trusted sources; but you already know that. I would hope that people buying this know that they are buying into an early access release that may not be so "perfect" for them, despite what their favorite youtuber says.
@@awesomefox555 There is very little chance they will cut the cord. It has been less than 5 hours and they are a small dev team. They have already responded to many of the negative reviews explaining they are working on fixes based on their feedback.

Okay but can we talk about how they dropped this game AND the previous game as a package for under $30?! I never planned on playing Hyper Light Drifter before now, but after essentially getting Breaker for ten bucks, I’m much more motivated to check it out.
I'm doing my best to hold off until the game is done and comes to consoles (I have a potato PC), but I'm tempted to jump in right now. It looks so good.
yeah performance is terrible, guess its EA tho. getting around 35-60 fps which is never stable with rare highs of around 80 with a 5700xt and all lowest settings.

I'm glad to see this preview of the game. A lot of what you play is really appealing to me, but this one doesn't really draw me in. You're doing the world a great service by showing people what all these games are like, so people can make informed decisions about whether to play.
basically gameplay good, performance bad with a lot of graphical settings we're used to in games nowadays being missing hopefully the devs get on these things quick because it's a shame seeing one of my most anticipated indie games being delayed multiple times and still releasing plagued with performance issues
Its mostly just morons complaining about SBI. That being said the game has genuine issues, mainly it needs the health system fixed, I don't like how overly punishing this game is. Grunts will one or two shot you in a few hits and stun-lock you, you don't start with a medkit nor can you find any on the map. Its a bit of malarkey to me. Other than perfectly good game.

Even a relatively quick scroll through all through the negative reviews will show the majority of negative reviews point to performance issues and a lack of meaningful ways to adjust the graphical performance, controls, and other settings.

This is the first game in a while that I have asked for a refund. Extremely undercooked, systems are not really well explained and super confusing, movement and combat are super clunky, camera and lock-on mechanics are a mess. I choosing to believe this early access was purely by publisher pressure, I cant imagine they thought the game was in a good state for people to play.

While early access is the developer opening the door for players to hop into a game prior to 1.0 release, it isn't an alpha or beta. The developer is releasing a game that should be further along in development than that, and in this case is asking for $30 to participate in the early access. The issues with this game is not a lack of content as would be generally acceptable for early access, it is a distinct lack of settings (graphical, controls, camera sensitivity, etc.) that players are not unreasonable to expect for this sort of release.

Early Access basically means "open alpha." Alpha means features are still being developed, bugs are still being squished, and (usually) no external testing. Games can be in this state for YEARS and come out excellent, like Hades. Criticism is encouraged but calling this bad practice is just flat incorrect

I'm taking them to small claims court i filled it yesterday after streaming the game live and everyone shitting on the game. It's awful. Complete scam game. The open world resets every 4 lives it's bullshit it's soo bad! Ammo none existent the game is a joke of early access and it's just proving the industry needs to crash ! I definitely ran into some of the performance issues, but I think the ones I had at least shouldn't be too rough to fix - I had a great time :D

Very rough on steam deck, barely getting 40 frames. Will definitely wait for patch because I really think this will be a good game
How did you get extra health and a dash on the tank sycom? Before loading in you had 120 health and 1 dash
Extra health is probably from whatever armor I had equipped, dash might have been from a holobyte?

I've played the game for 14 hours so far without any issues, mostly solo. What makes it unplayable for you?
