One feature I would really love to see is a clipping mask feature, specifically for adding shadows and lighting on a separate layer for the png sequence/transparent video.
I remember when I first bought Callipeg, I needed an animation app that could do line smoothing, because the ones I had before Callipeg couldn't do it right. As time went on, I feel more and more glad I invested my money into this app, because I saw potential in it as a capable desktop-level animation app for iPad. Once the app has even more features that could further my creativity with the app, such as blending modes, clipping masks, etc., I'll definitely be having more fun with this app.
If you guys can find a way to make Callipeg utilize Procreate brushes, it would be amazing. The only weakness for Callipeg at this moment in my opinion is the brush engine needs work. Good job you guys. I love it!
Thank you for your support! We are willing to update the brush engine at some point, but we still have other things to develop before that in terms of animation tools. 🙂 You can already modify your brush parameters, create new ones and import textures and tips to it.

If you ever make “bones” usable on this app. Make it DLC for like 20$ I would pay that to get bones. Never used them before. They just seem like it would be fun. Also, please make the circle that appears when you hold two fingers a tool bar on the top right. I try to zoom and it makes the circle.
You can use the transformation layers to group layers within one keyframes path. You can add several transformation layers within a transformation layer to create an animation hierarchy (learn more about this in this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/3YZ2UPVJpJs/видео.html) Regarding group layers, there isn't any yet in the app but we are planning to add it in the future.
Hello there I'm unable to draw on callipeg on my pencil but I'm able to select different tools can you please tell me how to add l drawing layer so that my brush would be visible on the drawing window.
what is the trick to dragging pen over layers to 'lasso select frames across layers? I keep trying but it doesn't seem to work and I end up having to double click on every sheet on a layer in order to select multiple items.
Hello, it’s basically a « tap, tap then drag ». So you tap once, then tap again right after, don’t leave the pencil off the screen and drag from that second tap. I hope this helps, you can see it in action (with the sound of taps, which could help) in previous tutorials.

I don't get this program at all. I just have 2 pics for a very simple animation and want to resize them. I just want to resize my gif. If I use the transformation tool I have no idea how big it is. Why isn't there an option to resize the image in export?

My calliper kicks me out of the app while I’m animating then when I re open the app and try to re open the project its all gone, the timeline doesn’t even exist anymore. I’ve lost SO MUCH work. I spent hours on my work only for it to be disappear. I don’t think I’ll be re needing my purchase next month

Including your iPad model, a video of the situation... it would help us understand what's going on. If you saved backups at some point, you can import it from the Import button within your Studio. Your backup, if you decide de save ones when the notification is displayed, are stored in the Files app > On my iPad > Callipeg > Backup. If they don't contain what you need, you can try to export Raw images of your shot: swipe from right to left on your shot thumbnail in the Studio. Then tap on the Raw Export icon (the one next to the trash icon). Tap the pixel definition of your shot. It will export one png for each frame of your shot. Then you will have to import them back in a new shot in Callipeg. There will be no timing or layer information but you will be able to time them again. You can learn how to import image sequence on callipeg.com/learn-import-sequence/
Hello, yes you can select a part of your drawing with the selection tool (in the side bar) then long touch with two fingers on the canvas to display the floating menu. In this menu you can access the copy/cut/paste icons.
Hello, thank you for your feedback. Regarding the file size, the exported .peg file a compressed archive but when it is in the Studio or opened it is uncompressed to get the full performances. That’s why the .peg file is way lighter. When you don’t need to work on a shot anymore, export your .peg to store it on a Cloud storage or somewhere on your iPad (outside of the « On my iPad > Callipeg » folder because if you uninstall Callipeg, it will also delete the Callipeg folder of your iPad which contains your shots. All iPad apps are working like this). So it is normal to have a few Gb needed for each shot. On a computer you don’t see this because when you close a project it becomes a compressed file so you are not aware that it needs sometimes 8 or 10Gb of available storage to work on this.

I’m having issues with the onion skin in this version, I have to tap surrounding layers to make onion skin appear even if it’s turned on, it turns off when I scrub on the timeline and doesn’t turn back on

Hello, there is no sheets or layers number limit in Callipeg: the only limit is your available storage and ram memory. The larger and longer a shot is, the more space and memory it will need. But remember that, even if it is technically possible to create a long animation on an iPad, you have to divide your work into shots, like you would do on any animation production. A shot is almost always 1 to 10 seconds long, sometimes 20 but it will depend a lot on what your iPad can handle. Each shot is its own file, and you export your shots once they are done to edit your film in a video editing software.
Hello, you can select layers with a swipe (from outside to inside of the iPad). Then, in one selected layer menu, you can find the Merge layers icon (the third icon starting from the right). You can learn everything about layers on callipeg.com/learn-layers/ and the subpages of the layers topic.

I've double tapped and dragged to cover the frames I want to work with. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries.

Calllipeg是個很棒的動畫製作app，這個版本也更新的更好了！但在製作動畫時，圖檔的記憶體容量實在是太大了，既使我只畫了一幀，然後使用變形圖層做簡單的動態設定，都需要66mb，而大約100幀的線條草圖就要1g的容量了，實在大的嚇人。這樣的問題在其他app上不常見，不知道Callipeg未來是否有可能解決這方面的問題呢？
