you guys should DEFINITELY check out their 3rd single that just came out yesterday! It'll show you guys their range considering that both songs will be on their new album that comes out in March! song is called "Atropos" Hint: Vocally, it's quite the opposite of this song.
First song I’ve heard from them. I’m not even a metal/djent fan, just trying to figure out what the genre is. But that is one of the best choruses I’ve ever heard honestly. The time shift, the tempo slow down, the chords, singing, it’s just great
When I first heard Spencer singing way back in 2009 on their first album, I was not a huge fan of his singing, but he's grown into it a ton, and improved a lot. This latest stuff from them is definitely his best outing as a vocalist, in my opinion. If you go back and compare something from Periphery I to this, you can definitely hear the progress. Thanks for sharing your reaction!
They are currently putting out their latest album, I would like you to continue to react to their music and I would love for you to hear Satellite by Periphery from their previous album please
Thank you for this reaction! Periphery got me hooked with this song and to be honest I had never heard of them before their new singles came out. You guys should really listen to a song from Invent Animate's new album "Heavener". It's absolute fire, not a single bad track on it. I'd recommend "Without a Whisper". But there are so many good ones like "Shade Astray", "Immolation of Night" and "Elysium".
We don’t have one yet but we would except Super Thanks on RUclips! But only donate if you really want to. What’s the song you wanted us to do? Well do a reaction to it
@@jordanamandareact Oh man, that's such a tough choice! I really wanna say Wax Wings off their new album because it's probably their all time best song IMO, but I'm actually gonna say Mile Zero, just so you can hear some of their older stuff. This is the album that really shot them to the top of the genre, I'm excited for you to compare it to the last two songs you reacted to and see how far they've come!
That was quite heavy for Periphery...wonder if it is a style change or more of a one off? On another note, British artist Ren released a performance on December 15, 2022 called "Hi Ren". It's gone viral. J & A will be blown away by it. I would love to see your reaction to it.
@@onedoomeyboi5870I have a couple friends who do this as well. Probably what he was thinking of considering this is not even close to their heaviest song
This was the first Periphery song I ever listened to and I didnt hate it. Tbh tho, the jazz part was late and a bit much, Of Mice & Men did that in one of their songs a couple of years ago.
It's certainly brave 🤣 I can imagine this left a lot of metalheads a bit struck and confused. I think any excuse to venture out and try something totally unique like this is amazing and its a great way to get people to talk about it. I love it and it amazed me how ridiculous it was when I first heard it 🤣 but I can totally see it being like marmite. You love it or you hate it.
I couldn't stop watching your guys heads trying to catch the beat all throughout. 😂

After a couple listens this chorus won't let you sleep.

@@x0x0skiller2 its actually from an instrumental called ‘The Event’ by them. Its crazy that they were able to put it in a song.
💯

The nod to Meshuggah in the solo is a nice touch.
check their latest song for more singing
you guys should check out their song The Way the News Goes...
i think amanda will like that one
Im gonna be honest with yall. I really like your content. Easy to watch and feels relateable. My fiance and I had a good laugh
Wax wings is one you might like. It has mostly clean singing but the rhythms are much easier to catch. The ending is amazing too 😉

Do you have a patreon or something where I can donate for a request? I will pay you to listen to more Periphery lol

@@jordanamandareact Also forgot to mention, definitely look up the lyrics. My all time favorite lyrics from any song ever. Spencer gets deep.

Periphery has always been this heavy
This is on their lighter side tbh. Maybe a 45/100 in terms of their average heaviness. Maybe 55-60.
@@XavierMacX I must be thinking of another band.
@@tallgrayandgruesome might be thinking of polyphia, I have a friend who constantly confuses the two for some reason

True progressive metal like this is hard to get into
