    North beach is a local beach and so fun, my sister lived there 4 years. Loved loved it. Have a couple of eateries I go to by cab when we dock and the cabbies look at me like I’m crazy I convince them learned it from a local they like to keep their truely local that way😂❤

    What a beach…. Utterly stunning. I couldn’t have coped with the crowded bit either. Oh and the sprinkles on the carpet??? lol!!!! That’s the sort of thing that I would do at least you picked them up…. Bet the cabin steward wishes there were more like you

    Great video, very informative, those queues looked looked crazy, not experienced anything that bad however agree with your point about the cruise staff managing the lines and providing water and seat areas for those with walking differently. We've been to Grand Cayman 13 yrs ago and were fortunate enough to dock. Keep the videos coming.😊

      Ah, thanks for watching and commenting Simon. I also hadn’t seen lines like this before - hopefully never again, haha!
      Wow - I didn’t know you used to be able to dock at Cayman!

    Absolutely love Grand Cayman, one of my favorite stops cruising. Such a clean island and the people were absolutely amazing. We would like to fly back for a weeks stay. We also did an excursion there, we swam with the stingrays and it was also fun.

    I took the bus to cemetery beach which is on the far north end of 7 miles beach and walked back to the ship. It was almost 7 miles of walking in the sand, water and sun . There were not many people up there but I next time I would take a bus back. It was too far.

      I’ve just had a look on google at that beach - wow - just gorgeous! I’ll bet you saw the sun that day - at least you walked off some cruise food, haha!!

    I always love how you just take off on foot when you get to a new port. 😂 Did you find out before where the busses left from? Heck of a price difference! I'm a researcher and watch a bunch of port videos and google stuff before I get there. I'd be way too stressed to just head out on a wing and a prayer. 🤣🤣🤣 Good video, thanks! (Forgot to mention...good job getting the sprinkles up😊)

      Oh, thanks a lot Tammy - I do love just throwing on my shoes and going for it, ha! Also, the sprinkles 🤦🏻‍♂️ I can confirm all got picked up individually by hand, haha!

    What do you do with your stuff when you go swimming? I expect the bad guys have figured out the "put-the-stuff-in-your-shoe-hidden-by-a-sock ploy."

    • @FraserAtSea
      @FraserAtSea  6 дней назад

      Haha good question. There actually wasn’t anyone on this part of the beach - it was so quiet. If someone were to approach from the back of the beach, I’d have got to my stuff before them, even if they were running - I really wasn’t far away, and didn’t turn my back for even a second! Thanks a lot for watching!!

    I visited Grand Cayman 15 or so years ago on a Carnival cruise. The que to board a tender was just as ridiculous then. It was even worse because we were standing in line without any benefit of any shelter from the sun. I will stay on the ship next time, should I visit again.

    • @FraserAtSea
      @FraserAtSea  24 дня назад +1

      Oh wow - they’ve obviously learned and put the tents up - much better now! I’d have been so annoyed standing there in the sun, BAKING! Haha, thanks a lot for watching, and for taking the time to leave a comment!

    Fraser what do you do with your camera and stuff when you’re at the beach and you go in the water? Thinking of the security angle?

    • @FraserAtSea
      @FraserAtSea  11 дней назад +1

      Hey! Good question - I do leave it on the shore, but I basically just go in to paddle and back out - I’d never leave it for any longer than a minute or so, and would never do it if there were other people there. This was a really quiet beach part.
      Thanks for watching!
