- I turned “Kiss” into a first dance/love song! Probably my favourite reimagining tracks I’ve done - ever. When I pitched this idea, I was met with naysayers haha and rightfully so. As the original has such a strong identity that it’s hard to hear it any other way. But I love a challenge and I love this song, so I had to! I actually released this song on an EP called “It’s Not That Deep”. So if you want to listen when you’re out and about - it’s streaming on all music platforms!

The spin you put on your covers is something I rarely see others attempt. It's so easy to ruin a song by moulding it to your own style, but you have a talent at it.

I really LOVE again and again Janets way to sing former song in her own way. I think everybody knows the way how Prince sang "kiss". HER version, singing it as a ballad, was an awsome surprise! 👍❤🥰

Being a huge Prince fan I had my doubts. I usually do when it comes to covers of his songs. I'm the same with Beatles music. I must say this would have made him proud. I could see his "Prince" grin on his face now looking down.

I was lucky enough to see her on the x factor, DON'T want to upset her or anything. But for me she should of won it. Her voice is the best vocal I think I have heard.
For me I felt the judges seemed to turn against her. By saying negative things.
I also felt some of the songs were badly chosen, and some of her outfits must of made a shy person feel awkward.
But she was, and still is the best performer I have ever seen on any show.
I get depression and anxiety, but listening to her lifts me to that better place. I thought she was like tori amos, but better.
She really is a voice of a generation, a gift in every sense to lift, inspire, and spread hope. And bring pure joy into lives.
She has certainly touched my soul, and bought faith to my heart.
I cannot express in writing how high I hold her in my life.
Just an amazing lady, and an intoxicating, mesmerising performer.

How did I miss this? Oh goodness, it's so perfect and soulful. The Gospel/Spiritual undertones in the music, and the sultry aspects of your voice, work so perfectly with the words to make such a wonderful love song. I'm sure Prince would have been thrilled by your cover.

Beautiful. They really did you a disservice at that x competition. They gave you bad songs and bad make-up and bad hair and bad clothes. You don't need all of that, you are amazing just the way you are. Unfortunately at 16 you were too young to go to battle with titans. I'm glad you came back, hopefully stronger and wiser.
