Now that I’ve played this, I have to ask how one dies at the Gummi sections in KH1. I never upgraded my ship, and even at the last run to End of the World I was fine. They make Starfox 64’s easiest stages look like Gradius.
@@blueviper64If the screen shook like it did in the PS2 version when taking damage, Phil would have no excuse to claim he successfully dodged those rings. The screen shaking would be the most obvious way of showing he didn't dodge.

@@therealriku9238 really magic's only truly needed if you plan on doing super bosses, where the added MP is a must, but with the lack of second chance/leaf bracer at low levels makes selecting the rod for a casual playthrough is annoying.

But he is a terrible gamer who makes sexual jokes that aren't funny, constantly talking over cutscenes instead of paying attention to the story, complains how hard the game when it's really easy like Okami where he died on a boss that isn't even hard at all. I don't know why he bothers when he could do something more productive in his life if he's not interested in games.
...No it isn't. The US release didn't even HAVE a Proud Mode when it was released, instead having an Expert. Final Mix's Standard mode is mostly the same as the original edition's Normal, except that Gummi ship damage has been cut and the amount of damage you take in the Gummi Ship is increased. The only thing they changed, difficulty-wise, was enemy placement and the like.
The game did have sweeping balance changes between the original Japanese release and the US release, such as Fire costing half a charge segment in the Japanese release, enemies having more HP in general but less defense and strength (Invisibles have 600 HP/2 HP bars, and World of Chaos Ansem having 2400 HP which is 3 HP bars above what the gauge can show), enemies generally grant far more EXP than later releases, and enemies don't gain further resistance to Stop and Gravity after the first episode of Hollow Bastion as in later releases. The English release and Final Mix changes are less noticeable in comparison. The difficulty levels are in fact similar across those two releases, Final Mix Proud Mode and English release Expert Mode are nearly identical, and so are Final Mix mode and English release standard mode.
It was in fact only movies, but I feel like the reason is more so because the game would've looked ugly as sin on the vast majority of tv screens and it's far easier just to make some cutscenes. And you got trophies just for watching them on the PS3 version. Not on PS4 version for some reason.

@neronecrosade The game play loop is horrendous. You do the same shit over and play a puzzle game with your inventory. No, actually, levels apart from assignments, it's literally like being a member of the heartless it's boring you're just a villain for a short period of time

I think Phil means 358 days over 2 and if i remember the collection only had the cutscenes since that was the only good part of the game
