It was supposed to be 11 arcs. But Tappei wrote arc 7 too long and from what I know was forced to split Arc 7 into two. Arc 8 content was supposed to be in Arc 7 and Tappei after the split has suggested that its 12 arcs now

im glad this arc turned out good. god we needed a good end to the vollachia arc and we got one. theres still many questions unanswered though and i hope arc 9 addresses them
