I have an old mahogany Conga made in Mexico. Like what you were saying at the beginning of the video about how the sound could cut through all the way to the back. This Conga does it better than my other congas.
I've been filling Eric on his RUclips channel for several years now....fan boy, I've learning a lot. I've watched Mr. Sanchez on-line for a number of years as well and happy to get to know him better on this channel. What a nice, generous, gracious man he is. He's a star of course and he knows it...but he doesn't act like it or try to show off. He let's his playing speak for who he is. Rock on with Moperc guys!!!
Wow my favourite teacher and my favourite congeuro chatting on the same video. No idea this video existed. I too used to follow Giovanni with my favourite being ‘la mole’. But I studied Poncho playing I realised the true definition of ‘less is more’, straight forward, beautifully clean conversations, not abstract or trying to be too technical…literally exactly spot on balance (but you’re left knowing he has all the technical stuff up his sleeve if needed). The greatest of respect to you both and obviously you mr moperc. I will be buying a set of Ash Cubanos as soon as as I get it round the mrs! ❤🪘

I’m a member of the Moperc family from Maryland. I purchased 3 ash, 5 band rumberos congas (conga, tumba, super tumba), and ash bongos w/ cases, made specifically for me by Michelle Ouellet! I love them! Their projection is amazing!
Wow, imagine if , Giovanni Hidalgo would care about what the percussion look like. Instead of hitting the drum the right way to sound amazing with well tuned drums. percussions with the correct pitch tone that is what matters. Paying $1000 for a drum not worthy of that
Tesla is overrated, in fact they' ve had a lot of problems the last few years, I would use Ferrari or Lamborgini to compare to a good limited production product, not Tesla please!
