- In this video I go through the steps I take to make sure the Slip Clutch on my Woods Brush Bull is functioning correctly. This process ensures the clutch will slip in the event something is hit with the bush hog to prevent damage to the bush hog and tractor.

I rebuilt a buddy’s Ford gearbox and slip clutch about five years ago. Gearbox bearings and seals and discs for the slip clutch topped five hundred bucks !! So yes, clutch maintenance and proper gear lube in the box is definitely a good idea. Nice video Ben. I have an old Woods too but not nearly as nice as yours.
You know me I gotta have some paint lol. No I bought this 2 years ago ago after I destroyed the other one well I say destroyed the gb is still good. Just needs some tweaking and welding you could probably have it back running in a day or less. I got a deal on the one now paid $750 think I could get over a 1000. Take care brother
Good video! One thing I like to do when I check my slip clutch is to take an ink pen and mark a reference line across the clutch and to see when it slips. Keep up the great videos.
Steve that is a good way to do it but on mine I can’t get to the friction discs to actually mark them. Appreciate you watching and and the feedback. Take care brother
