I think you're one of the best booktubers we have, Olive!
I am always impressed by the mix of books you read. I've never heard of any of them, tbh. I also love that you read books about art. I'm an amateur art lover and I'm always looking for new books to help me better understand the world and market so I'll be picking up Breakfast at Sotheby's, for sure.

I had the very same response that you did to No Time to Spare! I actually do read quite a bit of science fiction, but for some reason, I never got around to Le Guin's novels. Yet, the moment that I heard about No Time to Spare, I knew I wanted to read it. It was my first 5-star book of 2019. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. You're going to kill me with all of these non-fiction recommendations, though, Olive! I have 35 non-fiction books on my 2019 TBR, some of which came from you. I've already read nine, plus nine others that weren't even on my TBR (following rabbit holes!), and now you present me with even more delicious-sounding books--with still more to come. I'm the same with the art book theme - I'm still quite new with exploring art and what I like/what I don't, but I think there's a part of me that in particular is drawn to the in between - the viewer and the art, the way we interpret and value art. I’ll have to check out that Bronte biography, I really enjoyed Jane Harman’s bio of Jane Austen. I do think Gaskell’s bio is worth a read, if just because it’s an excellent example of a Victorian biography. Accuracy wasn’t really valued yet, it was more about painting a portrait. It’s worth noting that reputations were ruined posthumously by well-intentioned but overly-honest biographies. But there’s an intimacy to a biography by a beloved friend or family member that just can’t be achieved by someone writing a few hundred years later, no matter how talented they are.
Anyway, I hope this doesn’t come across as long-winded or pushy. I am just really passionate about this topic!

This wasn't long-winded or pushy at all! Quite the opposite - I really appreciated your take on this. I'm taking my resolve not to read it under consideration - I'm thinking I may pick it up after I read a more modern biography. Thanks for your insight!
