Words can't explain how cool it was to play this! You get the same feeling of, "I can do better" when it's Game Over, just like in Robotron. I can't believe this game wasn't a huge hit!
Just keep in mind: It's only about 70% fun in MAME since the sounds are incorrect. It's only the tip of the iceberg. So if you like it there, you will love it in person. ;-) Thanks for watching!
Thank you for making this video! When I first saw posted videos of Zapcon 9 I noticed the QB-3 in some of them, but I was hugely disappointed such a rare prototype vector was completely ignored in RUclips videos of the show and only shown walking by it in the background. I'm so glad to finally see decent footage of the game, and even better a complete explanation from the person that custom built the machine and made the FPGA port of it. Do I understand correctly that the Cini Multi FPGA board is no longer available? I can't find a website either, but had read up a few years back. A friend of mine bought this board, and I'd love to see it.
Also, glad you enjoyed the video! That game was too awesome not to cover. It really is a gem and Brian did a fantastic job presenting it for all to enjoy.
Looks way ahead of its time.
Thanks, Del!
Rock-Ola releases 3-titles on the vector games: _Demon, QB-3, Rocket Racer_
Awesome vid!
Thanks!
Wow that's awesome, Robotron in the 5th dimension!

It was awesome to see that rare game. Amazing stuff. Can't wait for the future videos.
Game looks awesome!!!
As a Robotron fan this looks really interesting. Will have to try it in MAME.

Brian is still making the FPGA. You can grab it here: arcarc.xmission.com/Web%20Archives/cinevectron.com/cinevectron-fpga.html

@@delsarcade Thanks! I had a hard time finding that site in my searches today.
That looks nuts. Can’t wait to see more!
Never knew about this until I played at games. Gotta get used the the controls.
Such a great game and you rock for making one!!! Are you selling the CPO you made?
The owner, Brian, is not planning on making it publicly available at this time.
@@delsarcade Bummer.
Hola :)
Robotron Rubix cube
Yes! An 80's hit!
What type of cor vector was in this game? Very cool.
Monitor is a WG6100
Does anyone know if Brian has plans to produce and offer for sale the QB3 fpga board?
If memory serves, it's available on the Cinematronics FPGA board that he has currently.
So QB-3 is NOT a football game?? 😅
Nope, _turned out_ to be twinstick shooter games!
