Yes I’ve been waiting on your reaction, saving this to watch on my lunch break 😭 I really enjoyed the album overall i love that she’s doing more songs in Spanish and collaborating with Latin artist.
You get strong mariachi vibes on La Buena Vida is bc there is a legit mariachi band in the song and it’s an ode to her Mexican roots and at the end is her dads voice who is Mexican. Loved your video! 👏
Lola is about the situation in Cuba. She personifies that in the character of Lola and that is why Youtuel (another Cuban artist who wrote the song "Patria y Vida" that has become a hymn during the Cuban protests) says at the end "How many Lolas in my Havanna".
@@LaNayaD. I just found it extremely boring, forced, and repetitive. Conceptually, I found the messaging to be toxic, shallow, and at times incoherent. It was kind of like eating an overcooked meal full of calories but no nutrients. I don't think it takes much creativity or artistic genius to make music centered around sex and money. Everybody's doing that. And there are plenty of people who do it way better than Chloe. Better beats, better bars, better flows. Some have just been doing it longer. It seems like a natural fit when Doja Cat, Meg, and Cardi do it. So if I wanna hear that type of music, I will just listen to them instead. Kind of like how people felt when Michael Jordan left basketball and started playing baseball. Like. Um. Cool. I mean, if that's what you wanna do, then do it. But I'm not going to watch you play baseball, Michael... At this point, I think Chloe occupies the same category as Kanye (for me). Which is to say, there was a point in time where I really enjoyed Kanye's music because it made me think and feel something. Now, his music no longer serves that purpose. The same is true with Chloe.
