Ghostface has a similar ending to Jason Voorhees except Jason goes on to take out Revenant Liu Kang for using him. Ghostface might not necessarily want to get involved in Our world stuff. Although he could make himself more powerful.

I always viewed ghostface as a sorta voiceless killer like Jason and Micheal. So hearing him talk as much as he does in these intros is so weird to me. Side note: that mask has scared me for pretty much my whole life. It scares me a little less now but still.

Since it all started with Freddy, MK has never once let me down with their guest characters. The crew do all of their homework in every detail: costumes, dialogue, body language, references. It's not just a contractual obligation to get the character right. You can tell real love went into making the character both faithful to their films and fit well into a fighting game. Finding that golden balance can't be easy unless you're a massive fan, and it shows.
It's so funny seeing how much personality a literal "anonymous" masked psycho has compared to nearly every single MK character. Ghostface just leaves them all in the dust. Johnny's cool, though.
I’ve seen some state that it could be the fact that both Billy and Stu are in the game. If you fight as Ghostface against ghostface you get dialogue that’s states one is Billy and the other is Stu. And they theorize that since Billy has 2 mk characters then maybe Stu does too.

He purposefully shifted power dynamics in an attempt to prevent the previous world and timelines events from reoccurring. so of course things are different. Developers know more than fans with fantasies
One HUGE problem: It's the voice changer that makes Billy sound like Roger Jackson, when he's unmasked his grunts and screams are still Roger Jackson's voice though as if he still has the mask and voice changer. They should've just used any other male VA to do the grunts and screams of unmasked Billy since that would actually make sense.
