I know many have said this before but this soundtrack is amazing. Your work never ceases to amaze me. The authenticity of it is elevated via the instruments used. To be honest here, I listen to your work while I myself am at work or studying since it helps me relax and concentrate. Thank you for this.
as a persian i have shocked when i have found that you have used original persian instruments instead of arabian one specially santor! you made my day thanks for these master pieces i will buy this game only for this❤❤❤
I can see that you and the eranian musician team that worked with you tried to make a mix between what Western societies usually think as “persian” (mainly indian and armenian sounds with the duduk) and what actually is iranian with the santur. I get it must be difficult, but as someone who doesn’t know the musical technicities and just enjoys the music, I’m glad that Paradox has you on their development and production team!
The music is the best part always especially ck3 vic3 and hoi4 although i like eu4 music as well. psticularly remembering prince albert from vic3 is a great piece
Santur is definitely the best instrument for the soundtracks of this game, especially if you play in the middle east and Iran. I was even opening santur in the background and playing Iberian struggle. Thank you for this awesome soundtrack!
your ability and talent in music is something to behold, whenever any song of this soundtrack plays ingame it immediately stands out and I take a moment just to listen, really beautiful
I wished i saw more instruments such as Tar or Do Tar specially in eastern Parts such as Khorasan that would feel nice. Even older and original version of Baglama which is Qopoz is still use in Iranian Azerbaijan and it would feel amazing for Seljuk Campaign
What a great work! Cannot imagine how did you compose all these music. The vocal in 0:59 is fantastic. And the style is quite different from the music before! By the way I hope the Paradox Interactive can design a music playlist in CK3 like they did in VIC3, so that I can decide which piece to hear, instead of waiting until it appears. Anyway, great music like it always, Mr. Glante, hope you can keep composing for the CK and VIC series. Love from China.

Santur and tonbak was good but honestly it could be better without some of these generic orientalist modes, there could be more use of daf, tanbur, sornay and karnay, dohol and naqqareh and etc for example
As a tanbur player, you nailed that. Tanbur gets so little recognition even if it is one of the oldest instruments in the world and essentially part of authentic iranian heritage
@@_elian_8875 its also one of the most epic ones and alongside karna and sorna and dohol and naqqara is much more appropriate for a game that deals with nobility and royalty
What I think is that Paradox is a corporate business, so they have a business model and know that Orientalist music will sell better rather than actual oriental music. Even with that, I think Hakon and the iranian team did a great job, mixing the actual music and the orientalist music, giving a more accurate persian music or at least more credible. Just seeing the difference of instruments between the first song (the commercial one) and the other ones you can see which music was made as a product to sell a DLC and which was made to really portray the vibe. Sorry for the bad English.
@@Decimo9909 no you conveyed your point very well in english and i agree with you on most just not that they actually did a good job in the rest, this whole dlc was a weak and lackluster nothing burger which im very glad i only tried it with a friend and nvr bought it

I don't know much about musical instruments, i'm glad you mention the instrument's name 😊
Persia-related soundtracks are always fire.
Upheaval at Samarra is too good, get you hyped immediately!
Many thanks! 🙏🏻😊
The music kept me in the game whenever I were trying to leave it. Just put the game on slowest speed and enjoy the masterpiece! Thank you Sir!
Haha, that’s awesome - thanks a lot!
"Aftermath of Abbasid Uprising"
They literally sent the friggin Nazgul after every Ummayad remnant, this song is way too chill 😂😂😂
Yet they came to Iberia and their emirate outlived the Abbasid empire

I really like the vibe to this, can't wait to hear it in-game!

as a persian ,thanks in Swedish
Nice Santur playing. I believe that this Persian instrument has many hidden capacities and can have a higher position in the future.
The only bad thing about this soundtrack is that it ends too soon.
Thanks a lot!
The team at Paradox needs the tracks to be at a certain length for the game. Maybe I could create some extended versions of the pieces.
@@HakanGlante That would be amazing! If you do decide to extend some of the pieces, I would eagerly anticipate the results!
