I feel like this is going to be all over American radio. I’ve been saying as they enter this era of doing solos that JK is the one who it is very easy as an American to see him just completely dominate here. He has made it clear that he is inspired by and really enjoys a lot of American pop, and he has the right voice and look for it, I think. I’ve been most drawn to BTS because of their Korean songs and so far have enjoyed RM and Jimin’s the most just for my style. However, this is a complete hit and his talent is ridiculous. JK is a worldwide super star for sure. This is an exciting phase to be a fan.

Lol, so you were confused about what the “cha-cha” slide is and basically it originated within the African American communtiy in the USA. This is a style of dance we do at house gatherings or parties or whatnot called the “CHA-CHA” slide. However, the guy who made the song made sure it was a way to bring all people together in a form of a line dance no matter what race or ethnicity anyone is because dancing brings everyone together and at once the song focused on just vibing and following the instructions to the song. If you wanna look it up, there are 2 versions of the song but part 2 is the more common version played in a lot of black households mainly in the USA as well as other events and venues as well because it is a feel good song. You can search up (Mr. C The Slide Man - Cha Cha Slide Part 2) if you wanna. But yea, the “Cha-Cha” slide was invented in the late '90s in Chicago. Formally, this is a kind of dance where people just follow specific directions in the song which instructs them to step, slide, stomp, cross their legs, and do a little “cha cha” dance move. Hopefully this clarifies why Latto said that in her verse which is why when she said “hit me up and imma cha-cha slide” was a way to reference a “happy dance” or a “feel good” dance to see the person who was hitting her up and to see them with no questions asked by “following directions” ...as you know now the cha-cha slide is about following the directions of the song and what it tells the dancer to do while also making you feel LIBERATED and confident in yourself. Lol, so you were confused about what the “cha-cha” slide is and basically it originated within the African American communtiy in the USA. This is a style of dance we do at house gatherings or parties or whatnot called the “CHA-CHA” slide. However, the guy who made the song made sure it was a way to bring all people together in a form of a line dance no matter what race or ethnicity anyone is because dancing brings everyone together and at once the song focused on just vibing and following the instructions to the song. If you wanna look it up, there are 2 versions of the song but part 2 is the more common version played in a lot of black households mainly in the USA as well as other events and venues as well because it is a feel good song. You can search up (Mr. C The Slide Man - Cha Cha Slide Part 2) if you wanna. But yea, the “Cha-Cha” slide was invented in the late '90s in Chicago. Formally, this is a kind of dance where people just follow specific directions in the song which instructs them to step, slide, stomp, cross their legs, and do a little “cha cha” dance move. Hopefully this clarifies why Latto said that in her verse which is why when she said “hit me up and imma cha-cha slide” was a way to reference a “happy dance” or a “feel good” dance to see the person who was hitting her up and to see them with no questions asked by “following directions” ...as you know now the cha-cha slide is about following the directions of the song and what it tells the dancer to do while also making you feel LIBERATED and confident in yourself. These are two ways you can understand her verse better. Jungkook and Latto both carried this song, wow it is amazing.
