Wither - Tech N9ne ft. Corey Taylor, singer for Slipknot Straight Out the Gate - Tech N9ne ft. Serj Tankian, singer for System of a Down Am I a Pyscho - Tech N9ne ft. B.o.B. and Hopsin
One of the parts of this series actually had Jelly Roll featured in it, Tech ft Krizz and Jelly Roll- Ef U. It's fire, Jelly Roll killed it, they all did.
I loved what another reactor interpreted his "Like I Ain't" to mean: He still raps like someone who has never done any of the things he has done, he has the same fire and same motivation. He never got complacent.
It’s his resume for all these young folks that are just finding him. As a kid that grew up in Kansas City, when I was in middle school in 1999 tech was already a legend in KC
I also grew up in Kansas City. I lived a few blocks from where Tech and Rich lived. Well where Tech lived when he was a kid. I lived off Independence avenue and The Paseo area North East. Lived in a few different places all in North East though. When I was a kid Rich had cars parked all around the block, was the craziest thing to me. I didn't know him personally since I was probably 9 10 years old at the time but everybody knew of him and whose cars they were haha.
@@winns35 I just moved out of the northeast. Shit started gettin crazy round there in COVID times. I grew up in south kc, went to Center. We used to see tech at Ward Parkway Mall all the time
Tech n9ne is like the god of underground rap not saying he’s underground but he’s not mainstream and he signs and brings up the goats of the underground
Tech is the G.O.A.T. and yes to all your questions he did all that lol, he even put out a whole rock album called therapy I think, you should definitely check out some more stuff man his library of music is insane, and definitely go see him live if you get a chance!!
ruclips.net/video/Y-9ZQCS3Pb0/видео.html I really like Tech & Krizz performing together. They have really authentic chemistry. Just two great friends & great MCs been doing it better and for longer than most
For the big rock he was talking about... 'Wither' was the song he did with the lead singer of Slipknot (maggot is what they call their fans) 'Straight out the gate' was the song he did with the lead singer of System of a Down
Thank god!!! I've been pushing this for like 4 or 5 weeks since I found your channel. That's just the beginning, there's still 7 more videos in the series. The order of release goes "like I ain't", "Disparagement" ft. King Iso, "Easier for you" ft. Jelly Roll and Krizz Kaliko, "I caught Crazy", "Chuki Fever", "Green Lit", "You Line", "Ion Member", and "Active"/"I'm Sorry". Thank you for doing this, I hope you'll watch them all. There is also a artist on Tech's label named Wrekonize, I think you'd enjoy his song "High Water".✌
It’s not that he’s doubted it’s that the media has completely shut him out his entire career tech should be the biggest rapper on this planet but was unknown forever and is still one the most underrated rappers ever and yes everything tech says in the song is fact
Yes!!! I’ve been going down a rabbit hole on your channel and I’ve been waiting to see Tech!! My man tech is the shit! Been listening to him for years and he ALWAYS delivers! Always!
HE HAS TONS OF SONGS. HOPSIN IS JUST ONE OF THE MANY. THE TECH N9NE COLLAB WITH TOKEN IS LEGIT. IF YOU DONT KNOW TOKEN.... ITS TIME! HOPSIN - RIP YOUR HEART (ILL BE COMING SOON)
For anyone who may be an artist of any genre/media, you have to listen to Fragile. for me it might be one of the best songs (not just rap) ever written. Kendrick and Wrekonize threw down on it too.
Tech9 has been on my playlist for about 15 yrs, named my dog Tech Nine and have met him many times. He is the goat of any indendent artist or even a signed artist. His biggest regret is not ever gettin with 2Pac.
Great reaction my guy!! i JUST thought of this track HOPSIN ft TECH N9NE RIP YOUR HEART OUT (its all flo, cadence and delivery. one upping eachother, they both go insane)
Tech and Hop have at least 5 songs together and beyond that Merkules did a song that featured them both. They have a very strong relationship. While all are great my favorite is Hopsin "Rip Your Heart Out" ft Tech N9ne. I'd love to see you react to this one and I recommend the lyric video.
The point of this song isn't about him showing off what he has done. He is saying that he is rapping like he ain't done all the shit he has done. Rapping like he is still in the hood hungry to get that bag. Also on the rock bit. He has two songs with Corey Taylor of Slipknot. Withered is a Tech Track and CMFT can't be stopped which Tech is featured on. He has a track with Serj Tankian of System of a Down titled Straight out the gate. Absolutely amazing track. 10/10 do recommend. There is a cover of "Momma said knock you out" that he did with Five Finger Death Punch. Starting to Turn is a track he did with Jonathan Davis of Korn. I'm sure there is probably more but that is all I can name off the top of my head.
I feel like he is also saying he still raps as hard as some who hasn't done shit yet and is still trying to come up - that he still puts in the work like that. bad ass video.
Was at a friend's house when their daughter came running in yammering about this great fantastic new video that just debuted, "It had Run-D.M.C. and this band of old guys. It was really cool, and these old guys were dope for being old guys. If they work at it they just might make something of themselves." The band she was talking about was, of course, Arrowsmith. As adults, we just laughed. But, unless someone heard their parents play some of the older bands, young people may never have heard of them.
Tech n9ne has been around in the rap industry bruh he’s done music with everyone from kottonmouth kings to slipknot to Eminem to hopsin. He doesn’t get the recognition he deserves!
My personal favorite tech album is 'mizery loves kompany'...that whole album is fire...Gangsta Shap, That Box, etc...have a good day, brother... Oh and the song 'Leave Me Alone'..
living in alaska most of my life there wasn't a huge group of people bumping the latest rap, what did reach us always got up here way after the rest of america tech 9 wasn't on my radar till long after he was a thing..
Tech has plenty of rock songs! My favorite is the one with Corey Taylor on Techs older album. Tech screams in that song. The people who doubted him are the writers in the media
I like that you ask "Who was doubting him?" because I feel like at this point being doubted and the underdog is Tech's shtick and he rides out the underdog thing fully even though he's ultra famous, rich, and basically a cornerstone of hip hop.
Tech has a bunch of songs with hopsin and features from T pain to corey Taylor of slipknot. Tech took mgk on his 1st major tour he took Kendrick on his 1st major tour and got him introduced to dre. Not only techs music but what he's done behind the scenes has contributed to hip hop more than any mainstream artist has the last 10 yrs has done. Tech needs to be in the goat conversation!
Tech is an OG, and it’s a damn shame more of this young generation don’t know who this man is! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the song “RUclips Rapper” he did with Token.. Straight up dope!
He played in last years half time show for one of the last games for Kansas City Chiefs because he's from KC. He's been around for a good while. I've listened to tech since 2003 when he opened for Insane Clown Posse and Kottonmouth Kings
This whole album has music videos they all connect they have kathartic in part 1 and part 2 there each 30 some min if u watch them in order it makes a short movie worth an hr of ur life to watch it. Its dope.
The premise of this song is that he is still rapping as if he hadn't done any of the things he listed. He's still hungry and still improving. Also, this video is part of a 30+ minutes "season" with like 5 songs and a story being told. This is episode 2.

He does songs with lead singers of slipknot, system of the down, the remaining members Of The Doors, Five finger death punch... He made hopsin famous basically.. Tech has been everywhere.. And he wont lie bout it cuz its all documented
To answer your question a lot of Tech’s day 1 fans began questioning him because of his success and they were saying Tech N9ne sold out so he can go mainstream. He addressed it on I believe it was his All 6’s and 7’s album but he just reiterated it because fans still claim it. Also like you said because he’s more in the limelight and more people are discovering him and he’s just saying look I’ve been here doing this I ain’t new in this game just new in this spotlight
He recently (when this came out) did a song with Token (RUclips Rapper) and had a bunch of young fans wondering who this "NEW" old guy was like he ain't been here for decades.
I first heard of Hopsin while listening to this song ICP - SKREEEM (Ft. Hopsin & Tech N9ne) This song is because he's been in this for decades but he still doesn't get his accolades as Em does. To me Tech is GOAT
Definitely check out the Kathartic series from tech in order to get the context because youre right it is a short film, and the one with Jelly is incredible definitely a song that will make you sit back and go “wow!” As for tech doing rock he has done stuff with slipknot, five finger death punch, and serj Tankian from system of a down come to mind right off, the man kills it in any genre he touches
