This video was taken from Bangladesh, land of hard working people. Probably the tshirt you are wearing now may be made in Bangladesh. Usually you can see This type of bamboo boat in the south east part of Bangladesh .(Hillside area) Karnaphuli and Surma these two river mainly used for bamboo trade.
The resilience and dedication of the people in Bangladesh truly shine through in this video. It’s amazing to see how much skill and effort go into their work, especially in such a beautiful and unique setting." What’s the most fascinating aspect of the bamboo trade along the Karnaphuli and Surma rivers? Are there any traditional techniques or stories that are passed down through generations in this region?"
In the 1800s, my hometown in the Adirondack mountains, used this mode of wood transport. NYC slums where built out of wood provided by the Northern NY towns in those mountains. All wood trees were floated to cutting mills, same as your video. To this day there are still sunked trees all in tangles on the bottom of the lakes and rivers.
Another top video showing the daily strength and ingenuity of humanity around the world. These give insight and perspective. I appreciate life more after watching these. Cheers!
Rafting Timber to get it to Sawmills etc has been used for centuries, both in Europe and more so, in the Americas. Doing it with Bamboo is even easier; Bamboo is lighter, and Air-Filled.
They had to spend a lot of time to tie all those bamboos together to make their bamboo boat, then they must untie them all at destination. Better if they all got together and bought a diesel powered barge. 2 people run the barge, and then the 20 others can be back at the forest harvesting instead of pushing their bamboo boats SLOWLY down river. Their method is very inefficient, VERY.
As cool as this is, you ain't seen nothing till you have seen how they used to run logs down the rivers here in Canada! Think of a log 10 times bigger than bamboo and thousands upon thousands of them! The loggers were masters of walking on the logs.
what are you saying? They have done this for thousands of years. Heck Egyptians been doing for far longer Than 200 years. Doesn’t mean it isn’t genius because it’s not original. It’s genius because it’s genius and efficient. Doesn’t matter who came up with it. And your logic is flawed cause 200 years ago is nothing compared to their culture who had practiced for this for thousands. Come on man, you think they stole Canadians idea 200 years ago from the internet?

It can’t be inefficient, It might be slow but that’s different. They don’t need anything but labour where I assume it’s very cheap.
Buy a barge? Seriously? This is timber rafting. Look it up.
Aren't you afraid of lots of crocodiles?
Ohoo oo!
Very Fine and charming Too. ❤❤❤❤❤

¿Descubrieron? Este método es mas viejo que la humedad. En el litoral argentino se llama Jangada.
What country and what river is this?
Greenland 😂😂😂😂😂

This is how logs were transported in Turkey a thousand years ago. This is nothing new
Ojalá que así como talan el bambú lo vuelvan a sembrar pero, pienso que es lo menos ban a pensar en hacer.
El bambú no muere , rebrota siempre y es muy invasivo . No es preocupante .
Si tienes sembrar como mi paisano

Yup, that’s what my Father did, because of his size and agility, he was able to run the logs and keep them from tangling. “The log driver”

Genius Huh? The Canadian loggers have used log rafts on the Mattagami, Yukon & other rivers for 200 years.
