I am a trained bass/baritone and although I can sing the higher version this is so much better, allowing more expression and sting legato line. Great version, thanks

You are right, they do come rather suddenly. Best way to sing is learning the lyrics by heart. . . and then take this karaoke as a lead for singing this song.

You are absolutely right. The key is D# / E♭ major going up to E major after the instrumental break.
you are right about that! It is not in the original key. It should make singing this song more easy because not everyone can get to the highest notes as Mr Ball does. . . ;-)
I love this song but I don't have an accompanist and I can't play an instrument so I can't sing it any more. This is great because now I can sing away as much as I like! Back in the mid-90s I sang it in the original key (with the top Bb) at the Southampton Music Festival and got Distinction! This key is a bit low for me, but my voice is dropping as I get older so I'll probably "fall" into it in a few more years!
The lyrics can come very suddenly and it is hard to sing them.

could you please make a version of this in Sarah Brightman's version's key??? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! I'm learning this song for singing lessons and this is by far the bset instrumental/karaoke version that i've found!!! :)

andysbg77, what are you talking about? I am a baritone/tenor and I can sing this perfectly. Michael Ball sings this in a higher key, which gives me a problem on the final note. This version is perfect, try dropping an octave and you'll find it should be OK. Download the Michael Ball version karaoke track and pley them both, then you'll see what I mean. Cheers and good luck.
i thought it seemed lower too
This version is a little low on the scale than it's original counterpart.. I had to up the pitch a little to bring it up to where Mr Ball's vocal pitch.

love it but piano don't sound right
Words are too small for karaoke
Tune is good but the karaoke words and the music are not in sync. Words too slow in appearing on the screen. Not good for someone who doesnt know the song word for word.

You might be singing it up the octave. Try singing it down the octave. I have a low bass-baritone voice and it sits perfectly in my range. Good luck!
