Your goal with this channel is to help inform and inspire your flute practice, whether you are a developing flutist, an adult amateur, flute teacher or just a lover of flute music and all things flute. As far as I'm concerned, You have reached your goal. After 40plus years of playing flute,You got me to get back to basics! Thanks ever so much.
I’ve been learning the flute in school and it was the hardest thing ever until I came across your videos. Everything you teach is so straight to the point and I actually learn a couple things on how it’s done. Because of you, I’ve finally been able to play a couple songs and improve. Thank you!
Thank you, this sounds perfect. I'm a casual church musician but really haven't been able to play much after being deconditioned in all things requiring breathe control as a result of a serious bout of COVID 19 almost two years ago. These exercise will help me come back.
This is perhaps the best warm up I ever experienced. There’s so much to learn from this exercise. I downloaded the book and I will continue to use it. Thank you so much 😊
I will be downloading for sure, especially because you have the accompanying tutorial with such clear instructions and tips. You explain everything so well; it’s a gift. Thank you!
Can’t wait! Also, thank you for mentioning the international shipping. It’s so annoying to get excited to purchase something, only to find it ships in the US only 🇨🇦👋
This looks like a really fun set of exercises, I can’t wait to get back home to my flute and try these! That C to E pinkie tip of just sliding slightly looks so much easier than the clunky way I’m doing it now. Thank you so much for sharing this!! 🎶 💜
Thank you so much for all your work on this wonderful book. I'm starting the flute after a 25 year hiatus and it's great to pick a few keys to work on to relearn my technique 😊
I’m practicing along with you & this video today. These exercises are great!! I hope there’s a paperback version soon because I’m tooooootally buying this!
As an old saxophonist returning to double on flute after a four decade hiatus, I'm finding your videos, especially this one, very helpful. My greatest problem right now is my embouchure. I know what I want my old Haynes to sound like, but I can't seem to maintain it without running out of air.
Thanks so much! The old Haynes flutes are superb. You are lucky to have one. First, get the headjoint cork changed if it has been more than 6 months. Second, rather than using more air, you can use the lips to compress the air. Perhaps your lips could be slightly more closed (without squeezing). This can allow the air to be more gentle and it will last you longer.
I’m enjoying your book. I have a question. On page 5, 2nd paragraph you mention “It is recommended to play with a drone for Major Key long tones.” What is a “drone” in this context. Thanks.
Thanks a lot, and great question. In this context, a drone is a low, sustained tone that you can listen to as you practice. Here is a good one available for free on RUclips: ruclips.net/video/MimVnBAuYqA/видео.html Happy practicing!

A little easy, but helpful in listening to your subtle comments, mainly in listlening to yourself and getting a good solid sound.
Great! Would you be interested in a more advanced version?
thank you so much!

Can you review the Moresky piccolo MPC-163? I want to see how it would sound and just to look into to see if it is worth it to buy.
