I just finished my residency in Radiology but no one has explained this more clearly! I always look forward to your videos and have recommended it to my juniors. :)
My daughter has been diagnosed with a mass right by her spine - this was SO HELPFUL to watch, thank you so much for posting! She has been in back pain for 2 years + now and after watching this I can SO see why this mass may be causing the pain. Really appreciate the video!
Thank you sir for this ridiculously simple breakdown of the Lumbar spine. I have been waiting my entire Physician Assistant career for this!! No one has explained this as well as you have showing the key difference between the exiting and the descending nerve root (I have asked many a pain doctor and surgeon, believe me). I can die and go to heaven now! But before I do... I will check for the similar version of the Cervical spine
So easy to understand for a fourth year medical student on my radiology elective month! Going into internal but now I'm thinking rads would have been awesome!!
Why is it that on the right, the mater with spinal fluid surrounding he nerve root takes up both levels (upper vertebra and disc) of the foramen? Where do the veines and arteries enter the foramen?
Dr. Gaur. Thank you for making this video. I was surprised that you point out that lumbar nerve roots are named for the superior vertebrae only because the findings and impression supplied with my own MRI lead me to think they were named for the lower vertebrae. My report states”At L4-L5, there is bilateral subarticular zone narrowing with encroachment on the traversing L5 nerve roots.” Can you help me understand what I perceive as a disagreement in naming?
what are the standard measurements at cervical, thoracic n lumbar levels below which we can say narrowing or stenosis because the numbers different in different articles
+immane75 yes i look at the scout to make sure i dont miss any big obvious lesions that are external to the spine. also the scout tells you how the tech set up the axial slices
excellent work , I have always difficulties with spine with both CT and MRI , I always feel that I missed something ????? Please do lectures about body mri especialy liver , biliary , pancreatic and bowels .... thanks

Thank you from someone who has just rotated into the modality. I'm getting motion sickness from all the sequences and this helped a lot.
What software viewer do you use that gives you that yellow line pointer?
Wow. Best vid I've seen yet. Nailed it!
You remind me of my friend. But THANK YOU. These videos helped me shine on my elective radiology rotations during 3rd year.
awesome. when you boil these cases down, its basic stuff about discs and nerve impingement
