    I just finished my residency in Radiology but no one has explained this more clearly! I always look forward to your videos and have recommended it to my juniors. :)

    My daughter has been diagnosed with a mass right by her spine - this was SO HELPFUL to watch, thank you so much for posting! She has been in back pain for 2 years + now and after watching this I can SO see why this mass may be causing the pain. Really appreciate the video!

    Thank you sir for this ridiculously simple breakdown of the Lumbar spine. I have been waiting my entire Physician Assistant career for this!! No one has explained this as well as you have showing the key difference between the exiting and the descending nerve root (I have asked many a pain doctor and surgeon, believe me). I can die and go to heaven now! But before I do... I will check for the similar version of the Cervical spine

    Thank you from someone who has just rotated into the modality. I'm getting motion sickness from all the sequences and this helped a lot.

    Why is it that on the right, the mater with spinal fluid surrounding he nerve root takes up both levels (upper vertebra and disc) of the foramen? Where do the veines and arteries enter the foramen?

    Are images from a posterior view,, opposite?? So facet joint on the left side is actually The Right sided facet

    Dr. Gaur. Thank you for making this video. I was surprised that you point out that lumbar nerve roots are named for the superior vertebrae only because the findings and impression supplied with my own MRI lead me to think they were named for the lower vertebrae. My report states”At L4-L5, there is bilateral subarticular zone narrowing with encroachment on the traversing L5 nerve roots.”
    Can you help me understand what I perceive as a disagreement in naming?

    Do you look for the scout ?

    • @sarelgaurMD
      @sarelgaurMD  9 лет назад

      +immane75 yes i look at the scout to make sure i dont miss any big obvious lesions that are external to the spine. also the scout tells you how the tech set up the axial slices
