A lot of farang sitting in bars or going to nightclubs listening to the same music as at home. Why they travel? Have met people in Thailand who do that every day during their holidays.

@@MaeilBangkok 555 My bar experience in more than 20 years of Thailand were around five minutes in a bar in Soi Cowboy because nature was calling urgently. Ordered a Cola, spend 2min on the loo, payed and drank my Cola. I thought never again.... so seedy.

Khao San Road is sooooooo loud with every bar trying to outdo the ones next to it. It's like one giant wall of sound walking down the street and so loud that you can't even really talk to anyone. Not an enjoyable experience at all other than just checking it off of the list.
